Noah Cyrus is once again showing just how different her artistic identity is from that of her famous older sister, Miley Cyrus.
The 26-year-old singer has built a reputation for an unconventional, gothic-leaning style, and her latest Instagram photos continued that trend with a dramatic desert shoot that leaned heavily into mystery, darkness and raw self-expression.

Against a barren landscape illuminated by the final light of the day, Noah posed for a series of striking photographs.
She wore sheer black stockings, heels and a revealing black bodysuit as she experimented with dramatic poses for the camera.
In one image, she partially pulled aside the garment while using her hand to maintain coverage.
Another photograph captured the singer from behind, with her long black hair falling down her back as she posed against the stark desert setting.
The unusual location and low evening light gave the entire shoot an intentionally eerie atmosphere.
Noah Takes the Edgy Look Even Further
The singer later lay on the ground beneath the camera’s bright light, closing her eyes and positioning her hands across her upper body.
The images also highlighted the extensive tattoos covering her arms and hands, reinforcing the alternative aesthetic that has become closely associated with Noah’s public image.
Rather than explaining the meaning behind the shoot, Noah allowed the photographs and music accompanying the post to create their own atmosphere.
A Haunting Musical Choice
The soundtrack added another layer to the unusual presentation.
Noah used a section of Olivia Chaney’s live rendition of The Dark Eyed Sailor, including the haunting line about the day ending and night arriving.
She echoed those words in the caption of her main post, writing, “for the day is spent and the night is on,” followed by shield and crossed-swords emojis.
The imagery and caption appeared to fit naturally with Noah’s increasingly raw and unconventional approach to fashion and music.
Her Family Life Has Been Complicated
Away from her artistic persona, Noah has experienced her share of family turbulence.
She and her mother, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, were previously reported to have experienced tension surrounding claims that Noah had been involved with Dominic Purcell before Tish began a relationship with him.
Tish and Purcell eventually married in 2023, adding another complicated chapter to the Cyrus family’s highly publicised personal lives.
The mother and daughter have since appeared to move beyond the reported disagreement.

Noah has also remained publicly close to her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, during some of the most difficult periods in his personal life.
During his divorce from Firerose in 2024, Billy Ray publicly acknowledged the support and advice he received from his daughter.
He shared lyrics from their father-daughter song Stand Still and praised Noah for the woman she had become, saying he was proud of her and had taken her advice during the difficult period.
Noah responded warmly to her father, making it clear that their bond remained strong.
