Reality television personality Amy Childs has reportedly been left devastated after burglars broke into her luxury Essex home while she and her family were away on holiday.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star is said to have returned from the trip to discover her £1.7 million property had been extensively damaged, with rooms reportedly left in disarray following the break-in.
Although the full extent of the losses has yet to be determined, the incident has left the family deeply shaken.
Family Escapes Physical Harm
Amy, 36, had been travelling with her husband, Billy Delbosq, and their children when the burglary occurred.
The couple share two-year-old twins, Billy and Millie, while Amy is also mother to daughter Polly and son Ritchie from previous relationships.
According to reports, the family is grateful they were not at home when the intruders struck, believing the situation could have been far more traumatic had anyone been inside the property during the burglary.
Police and Forensic Teams Examine Property
Sources close to the family said the house was left heavily damaged, making it difficult to determine immediately which valuables had been stolen.
Police officers and forensic investigators were called to the scene after the break-in was discovered and have since begun examining evidence as part of the ongoing investigation.
A representative for Amy confirmed that the burglary had taken place, stressing that no one was injured and that officers are actively handling the case.
Celebrity Homes Continue to Attract Criminals
The incident adds Amy Childs to a growing list of high-profile figures whose homes have recently been targeted by burglars.
Celebrity properties have increasingly become targets for organised thefts, with several well-known television personalities reporting similar experiences in recent years, raising concerns about the security of high-profile households.
Megan McKenna Reveals Trauma Behind Her Move Abroad
The latest burglary comes shortly after fellow former TOWIE star Megan McKenna publicly shared how a terrifying home invasion changed her life.
Speaking during an interview on a podcast, Megan explained that she eventually relocated to Germany after masked intruders armed with machetes and baseball bats broke into her UK home while she was alone.
She said the ordeal left her feeling unsafe in Britain, particularly because her husband, footballer Olivier Burke, was living in Germany at the time.
Armed Intruders Forced Their Way Into Bedroom Area
Megan recalled waking late at night to loud noises before realising burglars were attempting to break into her bedroom by smashing through a wall connected to her dressing room.
She immediately contacted police, who advised her to remain where she was while officers rushed to the property.
However, fearing for her dog’s safety, she chose to confront the masked intruders herself despite the danger.
Jewellery Stolen During Terrifying Encounter
The television personality described a frightening face-to-face encounter with one of the burglars, claiming the masked man removed jewellery directly from her while she stood in shock.
Although the intruders eventually left, Megan said the experience had a lasting emotional impact and convinced her that she could no longer feel secure living alone in the UK.
She later revealed that suspects were arrested and prosecuted but expressed disappointment that they had since been released.
Growing Concerns Over Home Security
The latest incidents involving Amy Childs and Megan McKenna have renewed discussion about the increasing number of burglaries targeting celebrity homes.
For Amy, the immediate priority remains helping her family recover from the emotional impact of returning home to find their property violated, while police continue their investigation into the break-in and work to identify those responsible.
