Matt Damon turned the premiere of The Odyssey in Seoul, South Korea, into a memorable family occasion by arriving alongside his wife, Luciana Barroso, and two of their daughters.

The Hollywood star walked the red carpet with Barroso and their teenage daughters, Gia and Stella, as the family posed together for photographers and greeted fans at the high-profile event.

While Gia, 17, and Stella, 15, joined their parents, the couple’s older daughters, Alexia, 27, and Isabella, 20, were not present for the premiere.

Stylish Red Carpet Looks Capture Attention

Damon opted for a polished appearance in a muted plum-colored suit, pairing it with a silver shirt and matching tie for the evening’s festivities.

Barroso complemented the occasion with a striking electric blue gown that featured a fitted silhouette and a plunging neckline.

She completed the elegant look with bold matte red lipstick, while the family delighted photographers by forming heart-shaped hand gestures during their red carpet appearance.

The Family Tradition Damon Refuses to Abandon

Despite his demanding acting schedule, Damon has repeatedly emphasized that family remains his highest priority.

Speaking recently about life at home, the actor explained that nightly family dinners have always been a firm rule in their household.

According to Damon, gathering around the table each evening is non-negotiable, although he acknowledged that simply sitting together isn’t always enough.

One of his daughters recently pointed out that, despite sharing dinner, the family had barely spoken during the meal.

That observation prompted the family to rethink how they approach their time together, reminding them that the purpose of the tradition is meaningful connection rather than routine.

Preparing for the Next Chapter at Home

Damon and Barroso, who first met in a Miami bar in 2003 before marrying in 2005, are also preparing for a major family transition.

With two of their daughters already living independently and the younger two steadily approaching adulthood, the couple have begun discussing what life will look like once their home becomes quieter.

The Oscar-winning actor said they are embracing the reality of becoming empty nesters while making a conscious effort to appreciate every remaining moment together.

He believes the only way to slow life’s fast pace is to be fully present with loved ones while the opportunity remains.

The Odyssey Continues Strong Box Office Run

The family outing comes as The Odyssey continues to perform impressively in cinemas, recently surpassing the $450 million mark at the global box office.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan, the epic adapts Homer’s legendary tale of the Greek king Odysseus and his perilous voyage home after the Trojan War as he struggles to reunite with his wife, Penelope.

Damon takes on the title role, while Anne Hathaway portrays Penelope, who must fend off persistent suitors during her husband’s prolonged absence.

Nolan’s Most Ambitious Film Yet

Damon recently revealed an unusual behind-the-scenes detail from filming, explaining that Canadian actress and stunt performer Devyn Dalton was used as a body double in certain scenes to help create a greater visual contrast between Odysseus and the towering giants featured in the story.

The actor even praised Dalton’s remarkable physique during a recent podcast appearance.

The film has been widely described as Nolan’s boldest production to date.

Produced with a reported budget of $250 million, it stands as the director’s most expensive project and also marks his first feature filmed entirely using IMAX 70mm cameras, underscoring the scale and ambition behind the epic adaptation.
