A 37-year-old father of three has died following a motorcycle accident in Fairfield, California, just one day before his young daughter’s birthday.

Henry Moore was riding towards the I-80 West on-ramp from Manuel Campos Parkway when he lost control while negotiating a curve at approximately 4.30am on October 29, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Investigators said preliminary findings indicated that speed may have contributed to the crash.

Emergency Crews Were Unable to Save Him

Officers responding to the incident discovered Moore lying beside the road, unconscious and breathing shallowly.

Emergency personnel immediately began life-saving efforts, but he died from his injuries at 4.36am.

In a statement, CHP Solano expressed its condolences to Moore’s relatives, friends and others affected by his death.

The agency confirmed that investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.

Moore’s Death Came Before His Daughter’s Birthday

Moore’s death was particularly devastating for his family because it happened just a day before his daughter’s birthday.

His sister, Jessica Romero, told the San Francisco Chronicle that the timing had left relatives heartbroken.

She said the family had been completely shattered by the fact that he died so close to the special occasion.

Moore is survived by his wife, Renee, and their three children: Ria, 11, Jhene, eight, and Nathaniel, three.

Sister Remembers Him as a Dedicated Family Man

Romero described her brother as a hardworking father who devoted much of his time to providing for his family while making sure they created lasting memories together.

Moore regularly worked 12-hour shifts at the Chevron Richmond refinery. Away from work, he enjoyed travelling with his wife and children and organising visits to relatives.

He also made time for monthly Sunday dinners, which brought together approximately 20 relatives and friends.

In his obituary, Romero described him as a devoted husband, father, son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend whose presence brought happiness and laughter to those around him.

She added that his family was central to his life and that he took immense pride in his wife and children.

He Enjoyed Adventures and Sharing Experiences With Loved Ones

Romero also remembered Moore as someone who loved excitement, adventure and exploring new interests.

He enjoyed snowboarding, building and modifying cars, and collecting and trading Pokémon cards.

Travelling and discovering new places were also among his favourite activities.

In a tribute shared through a GoFundMe campaign established to support his wife and children, Romero said her brother particularly valued experiencing these activities alongside the people he loved.

She explained that the enjoyment was not simply about the adventures themselves but also about sharing those moments with his family and friends.

The fundraising campaign is intended to support Renee and the couple’s three children following Moore’s death.
