In one case, authorities said the group took 25 boxes of designer goods from the Fashion Valley Shopping Center during a scheduled delivery.

In another attempted robbery, a delivery driver resisted a suspect armed with a gun, forcing the suspect to abandon the plan.

Delivery Trucks Allegedly Carjacked at Gunpoint

Prosecutors said three of the incidents involved the defendants intercepting and carjacking FedEx delivery trucks while the drivers were stopping for gasoline.

Authorities alleged that firearms were used during the carjackings. After taking control of the trucks, the defendants allegedly drove them to prearranged locations where getaway vehicles were waiting.

The stolen merchandise was then allegedly transferred into those vehicles.

She said the group had violently targeted valuable luxury merchandise being transported by FedEx and added that the alleged crime spree had now been stopped.

The five defendants face felony counts related to robbery, theft and carjacking.
