Mediaocean has launched a new venture initiative dedicated to supporting artificial intelligence startups developing technologies for the advertising industry.

The New York City-based advertising technology company said Mediaocean AI Ventures will invest in emerging companies and help scale solutions designed to reshape how advertising is planned, executed, measured and optimized.

New Venture Platform Targets AI Innovation

Mediaocean AI Ventures will focus on startups applying AI to different stages of the advertising lifecycle.

The initiative is designed to provide financial backing alongside access to Mediaocean’s extensive advertising technology infrastructure and industry relationships.

The venture arm will consider opportunities across both early-stage and growth-stage companies.

Areas of interest include agentic workflow automation, advertising optimization, cross-channel analytics, dynamic creative execution, measurement and data intelligence, as well as other developing applications of artificial intelligence.

Guy Kuperman to Lead the Initiative

Guy Kuperman, Mediaocean’s Chief Strategy Officer, will lead Mediaocean AI Ventures.

In his role, Kuperman will oversee the firm’s efforts to identify and support AI companies whose technologies have applications across the advertising ecosystem.

A central part of the initiative is the combination of investment capital with direct access to Mediaocean’s advertising platform.

The company said this gives portfolio companies an opportunity to connect with established workflows used by major agencies and brands.

Mediaocean Brings Large Advertising Network

The new venture initiative builds on Mediaocean’s position within the global advertising market.

Under CEO Bill Wise, the company operates software and AI platforms that process more than $200 billion in annualized advertising spend and serve more than 100,000 users worldwide.

That existing infrastructure gives Mediaocean AI Ventures a broad environment in which portfolio companies can develop and deploy technologies aimed at advertising professionals.

AI Already Embedded Across Mediaocean’s Platforms

Mediaocean has been expanding its use of artificial intelligence through products such as NIVO AI, which is designed to help marketers convert intelligence and data into actions throughout the campaign lifecycle.

The company’s broader technology portfolio also includes Prisma, its system of record for media management and finance, alongside Innovid, an independent advertising technology platform covering creative, delivery, measurement and optimization.

Mediaocean also operates Protected, an integrated platform focused on advertising verification and brand safety, giving the company capabilities across several critical areas of the advertising technology ecosystem.

Venture Strategy Extends Mediaocean’s Technology Footprint

Through Mediaocean AI Ventures, the company is positioning its investment activities around startups developing AI applications that can work within established advertising processes.

The initiative combines venture investment with access to Mediaocean’s existing technology and industry infrastructure, creating a platform for evaluating and supporting AI businesses across multiple segments of advertising.
