The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has released a series of operational updates outlining recent military actions in Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank, including the discovery of what it describes as an extensive Hezbollah infrastructure network, the dismantling of weapons production facilities, and the killing of senior militant commanders.
According to the military, the operations form part of its ongoing campaign against Hezbollah, Hamas, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
IDF Says Thousands of Hezbollah Facilities Identified in Southern Lebanon
In its latest update, the IDF said troops located thousands of facilities allegedly used by Hezbollah throughout villages in southern Lebanon.
The military said the network included command centers, residential quarters for operatives, launch sites, observation posts, underground infrastructure, and large stockpiles of weapons.
According to the IDF, Hezbollah established the infrastructure within civilian villages to support its military operations in the region.
Weapons Manufacturing Equipment Seized in the West Bank
The Israeli military also announced that forces dismantled ten machines allegedly used to manufacture weapons and explosive devices during an operation in the Qabatiya area of Judea and Samaria, the territory commonly known internationally as the West Bank.
The IDF said the equipment was intended for the production of weapons and improvised explosive devices used in militant activities.
Israeli Military Announces Deaths of Hamas and Islamic Jihad Commanders
Separately, the IDF said recent strikes in Gaza killed several senior militant figures.
Among those named was Adnan Taha Abu al-Tayf, whom the military identified as a Nukhba commander in Hamas’ military wing.
The IDF alleged that he infiltrated Israel during the October 7 attacks and had recently been involved in planning additional attacks against Israeli troops and civilians.
The military also reported the death of Jalal Tsubeih, identified as a commander in Hamas’ Daraj Tuffah Battalion, during a separate strike in the Shati area.
In another operation, the IDF said it killed Mahmoud Fatair, whom it identified as a Nukhba commander in Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Central Gaza Brigade.
According to the military, Fatair participated in the October 7 attack on Israel and was involved in holding hostage Rom Braslavski while also appearing in hostage handover ceremonies organized by the militant group.
IDF Attributes Blast Injuring Lebanese Soldiers to Hezbollah Device
The military also commented on an explosion that injured five Lebanese Armed Forces soldiers in southern Lebanon after their vehicle struck an explosive device.
According to the IDF, an internal review concluded that the explosive device belonged to Hezbollah rather than Israeli forces.
The military said the incident occurred near Kfara, outside the designated security zone, where it stated no Israeli troops were operating at the time.
Operations Reflect Continued Multi-Front Campaign
The latest announcements highlight Israel’s continued military operations across multiple fronts, with the IDF stating that its activities remain focused on dismantling militant infrastructure, disrupting weapons production, and targeting commanders it says are involved in attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
The statements reflect the Israeli military’s account of the operations. Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Lebanese authorities may present different accounts regarding the incidents and their circumstances.
