Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published a weekly summary accusing Ukrainian armed forces of carrying out a series of attacks on civilian targets across Russian territory and Russian-controlled areas between July 27 and August 2.
The report was presented by Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik as part of Moscow’s ongoing effort to document what it describes as crimes committed by Ukrainian forces during the conflict.
Drone Strikes Reported in Moscow and Belgorod Regions
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle struck an apartment building in the town of Chekhov in Russia’s Moscow Region on July 28.
The ministry also alleged that, on the same day, a first-person-view (FPV) drone targeted a civilian cargo truck in Shebekino, Belgorod Region. Officials further claimed another drone struck a passenger bus in the town, leaving 19 civilians injured.
Residential Areas and Civilian Infrastructure Among Reported Targets
The report stated that anti-personnel mines, described as “new petal” or “butterfly” mines, were remotely dispersed across populated areas in the Kremennaya District of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic on July 30.
Russian officials also alleged that a missile strike on July 31 hit a residential neighborhood in Borisovka, Belgorod Region, killing one civilian and injuring two others.
On the same day, authorities said a post office in Kakhovka, located in the Kherson region, came under attack, with three civilians reported injured.
Additional Casualties Reported in Zaporozhye and Donetsk Regions
The Russian Foreign Ministry further claimed that a drone attack on a farm in the village of Kirovo in the Zaporizhzhia region on July 31 killed one civilian.
According to the report, another UAV strike on August 1 hit an emergency response vehicle in the Volnovakha District of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, injuring one rescuer.
Russian officials also alleged that a separate drone attack targeted a bus transporting factory employees in the Zaporizhzhia region, killing one civilian and injuring 12 others.
Saratov Apartment Building Strike Included in Weekly Summary
The ministry’s report concluded with an allegation that a Ukrainian drone struck an apartment building in Russia’s Saratov Region on August 2, resulting in the deaths of two civilians.
Claims Remain Unverified
The allegations were released by Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and have not been independently verified. Ukrainian authorities had not publicly commented on the specific incidents listed in the report at the time of publication. As with many claims made by both sides during the conflict, the reported attacks could not be independently confirmed.
