Dan Hoz, an existing board member and former chairman of the company, has been appointed Interim Chairman.

He brings previous experience leading Elron and has extensive knowledge of its operations, portfolio companies and business strategy.

Hoz has held several senior positions in the technology sector, including Managing Director of Siemens EDA in Israel and Vice President at Siemens Digital Industries Software.

He also previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Valor.

Dana Gerner and Ido Heller Join the Board

Dana Gerner, former Chief Financial Officer of Cellebrite, has been appointed External Director.

Her experience includes financial leadership at international publicly traded technology and business companies.

Gerner also brings expertise in developing growth strategies, managing capital markets activities and overseeing investor relations.

Meanwhile, Ido Heller, a Certified Public Accountant, has joined the board as an Independent Director.

He previously served as a senior partner at PwC Israel, where he held leadership responsibilities as Head of Audit and Chief Risk Officer.

Heller has experience in capital markets, financial reporting analysis and risk management.

During his time at PwC, he also worked with Elron as its auditor and advised public companies and boards in Israel and internationally.

He currently serves as Co-CEO of Titan Group.

Yaniv Rog Brings Legal and Financial Expertise

Attorney Yaniv Rog has also been appointed to the Board of Directors.

He has extensive experience providing legal, financial and tax advisory services to publicly listed and privately held companies, as well as controlling shareholders.

Rog currently serves as a director of several companies within the Alon Blue Square Group, including Dor Alon, alongside other businesses operating across different sectors.

Before taking up his current responsibilities, he was a senior partner at leading law firms, where he headed tax practices.

Company Advances Search for Senior Executives

Alongside the board appointments, Elron Ventures disclosed that it has progressed its search for a new Chief Financial Officer and other senior executives.

The recruitment process forms part of the company’s plans to reinforce its management team as it pursues its investment and mergers and acquisitions strategy.

Elron also intends to establish a Strategic Advisory Board to provide support in assessing and executing potential investments and acquisition opportunities.

Elron Plans Up to $300 Million Investment Through RDC

The company had previously announced an investment programme through Rafael Development Corporation Ltd. (RDC), its joint venture with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd.

Under the arrangement, both companies will contribute equally towards a commitment of up to $300 million over approximately three years, subject to the necessary approvals.

The acquisition strategy will prioritise controlling stakes in dual-use technology businesses whose products and services address both defence and civilian markets.

Alongside acquisitions, Elron intends to maintain its investment activity in early-growth businesses operating in cybersecurity, deep technology, defence technology and artificial intelligence.

The planned acquisitions are designed to complement the firm’s existing investment approach, which primarily focuses on exits and secondary transactions.

Elron’s Investment Operations and Ownership Structure

Led by Chief Executive Officer Yaniv Shnieder, Elron Ventures focuses on acquiring, investing in and developing businesses across defence technology, deep technology, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

The firm operates through several investment vehicles, including RDC, CyberFuture and Evergreen.

RDC, which operates in collaboration with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, concentrates on acquisitions involving early-stage dual-use and defence technology companies.

Elron works with entrepreneurs and management teams to develop and expand businesses targeting large and evolving markets, particularly in infrastructure and mission-critical technologies.

The company is controlled by Arieli Group, a US-based investment firm with experience in private equity, venture capital and international investments.
