London-based early-stage venture capital firm Evertrue Capital has closed its debut fund at $17 million, securing backing from institutional investors, venture capital firms and industry professionals.

The fund is led by Yvonne Bajela, a former partner at Phoenix Court, and will focus on investing in pre-seed artificial intelligence and frontier technology companies across the UK and Europe.

Institutional Investors and Industry Leaders Back Fund

The fund attracted support from Phoenix Court through Basecamp, its fund of funds dedicated to investing in a global community of emerging fund managers.

Other backers include the British Business Bank, Better Society Capital, Bootstrap 4F, which is part of the Invest in Women Taskforce, and Allocator One.

Evertrue Capital also received commitments from founders, business operators and general partners within its network.

These investors are expected to provide portfolio founders with industry connections and operational support alongside financial backing.

Seven Companies Already Receive Investment

Evertrue Capital has begun deploying capital from its debut fund, with investments in seven companies so far.

Its portfolio includes Revion, which develops agentic AI technology for the automotive sector, and Poindexter Labs, an artificial intelligence capability and efficiency laboratory.

Other investments include Zuba, a fintech company developing infrastructure for global businesses, and Zaro, which is building a shared knowledge layer for enterprises.

The remaining three companies have not yet been publicly identified and are operating in stealth.

Fund Targets Pre-Seed AI and Frontier Technology Startups

Evertrue Capital plans to maintain a concentrated investment strategy, backing a limited number of companies each year.

The firm focuses on businesses at the pre-seed stage, with individual investments ranging from £250,000 to £500,000.

Its investment strategy covers artificial intelligence and frontier technologies, with a focus on emerging businesses across the UK and European markets.

Bajela Brings Extensive Investment Experience

Before establishing Evertrue Capital, Bajela was a partner at Phoenix Court, the investment firm behind LocalGlobe and Latitude.

Her previous investments include Wise, Moove and Marshmallow.

Her professional background also includes experience at Goldman Sachs, founding a company and spending a decade in investment roles at Mitsui & Co. and Impact X Capital.
