Strategic Mission Systems LLC has been awarded a major U.S. Air Force contract valued at up to $984 million to provide sustainment and modernization services for the E-4B aircraft fleet.
The agreement will support critical communications systems aboard the aircraft and ensure the continued operation of one of the military’s most important airborne command and control platforms for years to come.
Officials said the contract was awarded through a sole-source acquisition process and is structured as an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity agreement.
