Startup financing in Qatar has taken a step forward as Invest Qatar unveiled a new digital feature aimed at simplifying how entrepreneurs connect with venture capital investors.

The initiative, launched in collaboration with Qatar Investment Authority, introduces a dedicated Venture Capital (VC) Funding Module within the Invest Qatar Gateway platform.

The rollout reflects a broader national effort to deepen Qatar’s startup ecosystem and improve access to funding channels for early and growth-stage companies.

A Unified Gateway for Venture Capital Access

The newly introduced module is integrated into the Invest Qatar Gateway and is designed to streamline what has traditionally been a fragmented fundraising process.

Instead of navigating multiple channels, startups can now access VC opportunities through a single, centralized platform.

Available to all registered members, the module brings together fund discovery, eligibility checks, and application submission into one workflow, significantly reducing barriers for entrepreneurs seeking investment.

Direct Connections Between Startups and Fund Managers

Through the platform, startups can review participating venture capital funds, understand their investment focus areas, and evaluate eligibility requirements before applying.

Entrepreneurs are also able to submit pitch materials directly to fund managers, creating a more direct and efficient communication channel between founders and investors.

In addition, the system provides access to value-added services and support programmes designed to strengthen startup readiness.

Expanding Network of Global and Regional VC Partners

The initial rollout of the module includes a growing list of participating venture capital funds and ecosystem partners.

Many of these funds are supported through the QIA’s $3 billion Fund of Funds programme, reinforcing Qatar’s long-term strategy to attract and scale innovative companies.

Among the featured participants are the Tech Venture Fund by Qatar Science & Technology Park, along with QIA-backed and affiliated funds such as A-Typical Ventures, B Capital, Builders VC MENA, Deerfield, The Utopia Studio, Founders Circle Capital, Greycroft, Human Capital, Ion Pacific, Liberty City Ventures, Rasmal Ventures, Shorooq, Speedinvest, and The Radical Fund.

Improving Transparency and Efficiency in Startup Funding

By consolidating multiple stages of the investment process into one platform, the VC Funding Module aims to improve transparency and efficiency across Qatar’s startup financing landscape.

Startups can now better understand investor priorities, match themselves with suitable funds, and engage more confidently in the fundraising process without the usual complexity of fragmented outreach.

How Startups Can Get Started

Entrepreneurs looking for funding opportunities are encouraged to log into the Invest Qatar Gateway and explore the new VC Funding Module.

From there, they can review participating funds, assess investment criteria, and submit their pitches directly to fund managers.
