Hannah Waddingham, who portrays AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, said reconnecting with her fellow cast members required little adjustment.
According to Waddingham, stepping back into the fictional football world was “completely and utterly effortless,” adding that the close bond developed over previous seasons has always made the production feel like a family.
Her co-star Jeremy Swift, known for playing club executive Leslie Higgins, echoed those sentiments, saying the cast immediately regained its rhythm once production resumed.

Instead of remaining at AFC Richmond in England, the story follows Ted Lasso, played by Jason Sudeikis, back to his home state of Kansas.

Juno Temple, who returns as Keeley Jones, said relocating the story helped the cast reconnect with the creative vision that inspired Sudeikis to co-create the series.
She described filming in Kansas as a refreshing experience that pushed everyone outside their comfort zones while allowing them to better understand the personal connection between the location and the show’s central character.
Temple also called the production an enjoyable experience, saying spending time in a place deeply connected to both Ted Lasso and Jason Sudeikis added a meaningful dimension to the season.

Apple TV will release new episodes of Season 4 on a weekly basis following the premiere, with the season finale scheduled to air on October 7.
