Ant McPartlin made the most of a sunny family holiday in Portugal over the weekend, soaking up the warm weather with wife Anne-Marie Corbett and close friend Jonathan Wilkes.
The television presenter appeared completely at ease as he spent time on the beach, cooling off with a swim in the sea and enjoying a break from his busy work schedule.
The 50-year-old was seen showing off his tattooed physique while going shirtless during the seaside outing, smiling and laughing as he shared light-hearted moments with those closest to him.
Well-Earned Break After Podcast Commitments
The holiday comes during a quieter period for Ant, who recently revealed he and longtime presenting partner Declan Donnelly have been recording episodes of their Hanging Out With Ant And Dec podcast remotely while enjoying time abroad.
After years of maintaining a packed television schedule, the getaway offered Ant an opportunity to recharge before returning to work.
Ant Recalls Embarrassing Spa Experience in Thailand
Although this year’s vacation appears to have gone smoothly, Ant recently admitted that not every holiday has been free of awkward moments.
Speaking on the podcast, he shared a humorous story about visiting a Thai massage parlour after receiving a recommendation from a friend.
Despite being warned that staff entered treatment rooms quickly, Ant admitted he struggled to get changed in time.
As he attempted to swap into disposable paper underwear, he accidentally knocked them onto the floor while completely undressed.
Before he could recover them, the massage therapist entered the room, leaving him exposed in an unforgettable moment.
An Awkward First Impression
Ant joked that the pair stared at each other for what felt like an eternity before he managed to blurt out, “Not yet!”
The television star later returned for another massage but admitted the encounter remained unforgettable, saying neither he nor the therapist could comfortably make eye contact afterward.
The story quickly became one of the podcast’s funniest moments, with Ant laughing at his own misfortune.
Family Life Brings Stability and Happiness
Away from the spotlight, Ant has embraced a quieter lifestyle with Anne-Marie, whom he married in 2021.
Together they are raising their young son Wilder, while Anne-Marie is also mother to daughters Poppy and Daisy from her previous marriage to Scott Corbett.
The couple now enjoy a routine focused on family life, dog walks, sporting events and regular holidays, including trips to Barbados and other sunny destinations.
Anne-Marie’s Support Through Difficult Times
Ant has often spoken about the vital role Anne-Marie played during his recovery from alcohol and prescription painkiller addiction.
Describing her as both his “rock” and “lifesaver,” he has credited her unwavering support for helping him rebuild his life.
Following treatment in 2018, Ant stepped away from public life, choosing to spend time in the countryside away from television and social media while concentrating on his recovery.
He has since said that period transformed his outlook and that he is now happier than ever, attributing much of that happiness to the peaceful family life he shares with Anne-Marie.
From Working Together to Building a Family
Ant and Anne-Marie first met professionally in 2017 when she worked as his personal assistant in television.
Both later ended previous relationships before beginning their romance, with Ant consistently maintaining that they only got together after they were both single.
Nearly a decade later, the couple continue to keep family at the centre of their lives, with their latest Portuguese getaway offering another glimpse into the contented life Ant says he always hoped to find.
