In a heart-wrenching incident, a 77-year-old woman was discovered dead with a severe head injury in her home located in Ealing, north-west London.

A tragic event unfolded in north-west London as a 77-year-old woman, highly regarded by her community, was found dead in her Ealing home on Harold Road.

The elderly woman had sustained a severe head injury which led to her untimely death.

The police were alerted to the situation at approximately 6.40pm on Sunday.

Arrest and Connection

A 74-year-old man has been taken into custody in relation to the case.


Although he is currently awaiting questioning, there are existing concerns about his health.

Investigators have indicated that there was a known relationship between the victim and the man, further deepening the intrigue surrounding the case.

The area surrounding the woman’s house has turned into a tribute, with neighbours and community members leaving flowers in her memory.

One of the neighbours expressed their shock and grief over the loss, recalling the victim as a “lovely, really nice lady”.

Whether she was seen in a wheelchair or not, her neighbours were greatly fond of her, making her loss even more tragic.


The Official Stance

Detective Superintendent Rebecca Reeves, part of the Met’s West Area Command, conveyed that the incident has caused considerable shock among the locals.

To comfort the community and ensure their safety, additional foot patrols have been put in place.

The investigation, currently handled by the Specialist Crime Command, has so far resulted in one arrest, with no active search for any other suspects.
