…By Dorcas Funmi for TDPel Media. A spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation, Daniel Bwala, has praised President Bola Tinubu for instructing security agencies to tackle the high levels of insecurity in the country.
This comes after President Buhari directed security agencies to collaborate in the fight against terrorism during a visit to the National Security Adviser’s office and the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Abuja.
Tinubu Emphasizes the Importance of Security for Prosperity
During his visit, Tinubu stressed the crucial role of addressing security challenges for the nation’s prosperity.
He emphasized the need for the country’s intelligence community to prioritize information sharing.
Bwala’s Appreciation for the Directive
Daniel Bwala expressed his admiration and appreciation for the directives given to security agencies in a tweet.
He commended Tinubu for not tolerating a lack of cooperation or inter-agency rivalry when it comes to the lives of Nigerians.
Recognition of Impressive Action and Leadership
Bwala praised the directive as impressive, considering the circumstances surrounding the electoral mandate.
He acknowledged Tinubu’s proactive stance and unwillingness to compromise on security issues.
Additionally, Bwala highlighted that the imminent replacement of agency heads sends a clear message that a new approach is required and that the status quo will not be maintained.
Security Policy versus Economic Policy
While Bwala commended Tinubu’s focus on security policy, he expressed reservations about the economic policy, describing it as uncertain and unstable.
This indicates that, in Bwala’s opinion, Tinubu’s attention to security is praiseworthy, but there may be concerns regarding other aspects of his approach to governance.
