As Kaizer Chiefs gear up for the 2024/24 Betway Premiership season, there’s a buzz of excitement among their supporters.

One major reason for this optimism is the arrival of Miguel Inacio, a key new addition to the squad.

Kaizer Chiefs Welcome Miguel Inacio

In a recent announcement, Kaizer Chiefs introduced their latest signing, Miguel Inacio, a 28-year-old Angolan central defender.

This addition brings the total number of new signings to seven.

Inacio, originally from Portugal, played a crucial role for Petro de Luanda in the Caf Champions League and helped them clinch Angola’s domestic league title last season.

He has also earned five caps with the Angolan national team, as highlighted by Kaizer Chiefs and reported by TimesLIVE.

Why Inacio Chose Kaizer Chiefs

Inacio recently shared with the media that his decision to join Kaizer Chiefs was influenced by his former Petro de Luanda teammate, Hugo Marques, who also played for Cape Town City.

“Hugo told me straight up not to hesitate. He emphasized that Kaizer Chiefs is the biggest club in South Africa and Africa, and it’s globally recognized,” Miguel said in an interview with iDiski Times.

“If I was seeking a fresh challenge in my career, there was no better place to make that move.

So, Hugo Marques played a big part in my decision, and I’m thrilled about this opportunity,” the new Kaizer Chiefs player added.

Bradley Cross Joins the Squad

Coach Nasreddine Nabi is continuing to shape his squad, and one of his new recruits is Bradley Cross.

The former Maritzburg United and Golden Arrows defender has signed a four-year deal with Kaizer Chiefs.

Cross, who made 24 appearances for Golden Arrows last season, brings a wealth of experience.

He previously played for Schalke 04’s Under-19 team in Germany and captained Newcastle United’s U21 and U23 teams in England.

Known for his dynamic play and defensive skills, Cross was also called up to the national team, Bafana Bafana, by coach Hugo Broos.
