Hungary’s BAC Consulting and CEO Cristiana Bársony-Arcidiacono under fire for alleged involvement in manufacturing explosive pagers used in Hezbollah’s Lebanon attack

A Hungarian-based company’s CEO is making headlines in connection to a shocking incident involving deadly pager devices.

Cristiana Bársony-Arcidiacono, the Chief Executive of BAC Consulting, is linked to the supply of these pagers, which were allegedly used in a devastating attack that killed 12 people and injured thousands.

While the attack itself is said to have been carried out by Hezbollah, questions are swirling around Bársony-Arcidiacono’s company for its role in manufacturing the explosive devices.

Denial of Involvement

Despite the serious accusations, Bársony-Arcidiacono has strongly denied any direct involvement.

In an interview with a U.S. TV station, she made it clear that she is not responsible for the production of the pagers, stating, “I don’t make the pagers.

I am just the intermediary. I think you got it wrong.”

She seems to distance herself from the explosive devices, even as her company remains at the center of the controversy.

A Stellar Academic Background

Bársony-Arcidiacono’s resume paints a picture of a highly educated and accomplished individual.

With a range of qualifications from prestigious institutions such as the London School of Economics, she has expertise in International Relations, Business Development, and even contributed to Nobel Peace Prize-winning work.

Over her 13 years studying in the UK, she lived in North London and pursued a PhD in Physics at University College London, along with a diploma in Politics from the London School of Economics.

She is fluent in seven languages, including Russian and Italian, and has worked on various international projects, particularly in climate change and conflict issues.

A Multi-Faceted Scientist

Not only is she a business leader, but Bársony-Arcidiacono is also a scientist with a keen interest in interdisciplinary projects.

On her profile at the website ResearchGate, she lists her skills as “Quantum Mechanics” and “Disaster Management.”

Her work spans a broad range of fields, from hydrological projects at UNESCO to strategic decision-making in water and climate policy.

She prides herself on her leadership and analytical skills, emphasizing the value of integrity and humor in diverse, multicultural work environments.

Controversy Surrounding BAC Consulting

While Bársony-Arcidiacono may have impressive credentials, her company is now facing intense scrutiny.

BAC Consulting, a relatively new company registered in May 2022, reported revenue of over $700,000 in 2022.

However, when reporters visited the registered office in Budapest, they found no physical presence of the company, raising questions about its operations.

Furthermore, BAC Consulting’s involvement in the pagers stems from a licensing agreement with a Taiwanese company called Gold Apollo.

Although Gold Apollo authorized BAC to use its brand, it denied involvement in the actual manufacturing of the explosive devices.

Ongoing Investigations

The situation remains unclear as investigations continue into the role BAC Consulting played in this tragedy.

With Gold Apollo distancing itself from the production of the pagers and Bársony-Arcidiacono denying responsibility, the next steps in the investigation will likely focus on uncovering the true supply chain behind these deadly devices.

The world now waits to see what further information will emerge in this high-profile case.
