Cape Town model, 18, killed outside popular nightclub

Tributes have been pouring in for 18-year-old Cape Town resident Olivia Sieff over the past 24 hours, after the promising young talent was ran over by a vehicle early on Sunday morning.
It’s understood the recent matriculant was leaving the Claremont night-spot of Tin Roof when this tragic incident happened.

Who is Olivia Sieff? Teen model killed by car

Sieff, who was signed to the Boss Models agency in Cape Town, found out 10 days ago that she’d passed her matric with flying colours. The bright student was leaving school with four distinctions to her name.
Sadly, a life with so much in store has been cut short, in devastating fashion. Details remain sketchy about the fatal accident, but some of her friends allegedly witnessed the collision – traumatising them in the process.
Despite its location outside of the city centre, Tin Roof remains one of the most popular nightclubs in Cape Town. It’s particularly attractive for younger visitors, and the late night parties here are the stuff of legend.

However, a sombre cloud now hangs over this part of Claremont. The Herschel Girls School alumni for 2021 have been invited to gather at the facility on Monday morning, to pay their respects to Olivia Sieff. Educators asked the last cohort of matriculants to meet at the school’s sports centre at 7:45.

“The Herschel Girls School family is devastated by the tragic news of Olivia Sieff’s death in the early hours of this morning, Sunday, 30 January. We extend our love and support to Olivia’s family and friends who we know are broken-hearted.”
