Television personality Ulrika Jonsson has captured attention on social media after sharing a series of striking holiday photographs from a girls’ getaway in Greece.
Among the images posted to Instagram was a topless mirror selfie, with the 58-year-old carefully covering herself with her arms while wearing a sarong around her waist.
Holding her phone in front of her face, the presenter paired the image with the playful caption: “Hot potato.”
The post also featured snapshots of bikinis drying in the sunshine alongside scenic coastal views, giving followers a glimpse into her Mediterranean escape.
Holiday Images Highlight Relaxed Lifestyle
In addition to the eye-catching selfie, Jonsson shared artistic photographs celebrating the peaceful atmosphere of her trip, from picturesque landscapes to simple moments spent enjoying the warm weather.
The television star’s signature bronzed complexion was once again noticeable in the holiday images, reflecting a love of sunshine she has spoken about openly over the years.
From Sun Worship to Skin Protection
Despite her long-standing affection for tanning, Jonsson has recently admitted her relationship with the sun has changed dramatically.
Writing earlier this year, she acknowledged that while sunlight had always lifted her mood and she actively sought out sunny destinations, she now better understands the long-term effects of ultraviolet exposure.
Growing up in Scandinavia, where winter daylight can be limited, she said sunshine became something she naturally craved.
However, after receiving professional treatment for years of sun damage, she revealed she has stopped sunbathing altogether, abandoned sunbeds permanently and now wears SPF protection every day—even during winter.
Opening Up About Cosmetic Treatments
Earlier this year, Jonsson also spoke candidly about the cosmetic procedures she has chosen as part of her skincare journey.
She explained that her goal is not to appear decades younger but to look and feel her best at her current age.
The presenter underwent biostimulator treatments designed to encourage natural collagen production before also receiving hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers to soften facial lines caused by ageing and years of sun exposure.
Jonsson has previously rejected the notion that women should quietly accept ageing, saying she wants to embrace later life with confidence rather than hide from it.
A Life-Changing Sobriety Journey
Away from discussions about appearance, Jonsson has also celebrated a deeply personal milestone by approaching two years without alcohol.
Speaking about her recovery, she described becoming sober as a transformative experience that completely altered the way she approaches life.
She said the recovery programme gave her a renewed sense of purpose, community and spirituality, helping her move from a period where she struggled to see a future to one where she now wants to make the most of every day.
Honest Reflections on Addiction
Jonsson admitted that alcohol became a coping mechanism during the final years before she quit drinking, particularly as she attempted to balance her public image with private struggles.
She explained that her drinking escalated rapidly, especially during the COVID-19 lockdowns, and eventually became something she could no longer control.
Reflecting on that difficult period, she revealed she had reached such a low point that she hoped alcohol would eventually end her life, describing it as the darkest chapter she has ever experienced.
Today, she credits sobriety with giving her a fresh outlook and healthier ways of dealing with life’s challenges, saying the changes have reshaped both her mindset and her future.
