Sweden’s Royal Family had quite the eventful weekend.
On Sunday, little Prince Oscar, who’s eight, joined his father, Prince Daniel, for a fun-filled day at the annual Pep Day held at Haga Park in Stockholm.
The pair dived into a variety of activities under the bright sun, including table tennis, mini golf, and even a thrilling race on stilts.
The energy and joy were palpable as they participated in this event, which Prince Daniel, age 50, spearheaded to highlight the importance of exercise for youngsters.
Paris Paralympics Support
On Saturday, Queen Silvia, 80, along with Crown Princess Victoria and her daughter Princess Estelle, took a trip to Paris to cheer on Sweden’s team at the Paris Paralympics.
The royal ladies were all smiles at a reception with the Swedish team at the Swedish Embassy in Paris.
Queen Silvia looked elegant in a navy suit and white blouse, while Victoria, 47, and Estelle, 12, kept it casual in matching Team Sweden t-shirts, trousers, and white trainers.
They mingled with Sweden’s Paralympians, celebrating their achievements and meeting athletes like Para-cyclist Anna Beck and blind judo competitor Nicolina Pernheim Goodrich.
Family Holiday Highlights
Recently, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel shared some rare holiday snaps featuring their children, Estelle and Oscar.
While the couple didn’t reveal their exact destination, they hinted that they stayed in Sweden over the summer.
Their Instagram post featured a heartwarming Reel, starting with the family posing on a balcony at sunset. Victoria, 47, was casually dressed in jeans and a cardigan, while Daniel, 50, sported grey jeans and a Varsity jacket.
The Reel also showed Victoria and Oscar visiting some ruins, with Victoria in a denim jacket, and a sweet moment of the family walking their cavapoo dog on the beach.
There were also charming photos of them picking fruit and vegetables, and a cozy final shot of Victoria snuggled with her children and their dog by a lantern.
The post quickly garnered over 77,000 likes, with fans praising the candid glimpse into the royal family’s everyday life.
Comments ranged from “Wonderful!! I’m glad to see these ‘everyday pictures’ of an otherwise so watched family” to “The sweetest family ever!!!”
Upcoming Military Training for Victoria
In a different update, Crown Princess Victoria is set to embark on military training later this year as part of her preparation for her future role as head of state.
The Royal Court announced in April that Victoria will begin special officer training in autumn 2024, which will cover both theoretical and practical aspects of military science and strategy.
This training comes as Sweden continues to adapt its national security strategy following its recent NATO membership.
