The passing of Mohamed Al-Fayed, a prominent billionaire businessman, has unraveled a bitter power struggle among his four adult children. Reports have emerged of intense disputes, drug-related conflicts, and physical altercations involving the siblings and their spouses. This real-life drama bears a resemblance to the fictional plot of the TV series Succession.
Al-Fayed’s Family and Legacy
Mohamed Al-Fayed, known for his ownership of Harrods and Fulham FC, died at the age of 94. His family’s official statement portrayed him as a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who passed away peacefully in the company of loved ones. However, mere days after his death, whispers of a “sibling power struggle” and a “Succession-style battle” over his £1.7 billion fortune have already surfaced. However, he resigned three years later, citing concerns about the store’s ethical standards. Harrods was subsequently sold to the Qatari royal family.
Omar has embarked on ventures aimed at making the world a better place. He developed the social media platform EarthX, which encourages users to be mindful of their place on the planet when posting. Additionally, he established a Swiss-based company, Earth Space Technical Ecosystem Enterprises (ESTEE), with the goal of facilitating human settlement on other planets, emphasizing the importance of ethical practices in space exploration.

The Fayed family’s saga involves a range of intriguing characters and complex dynamics. Jasmine, the eldest, briefly gained recognition in the fashion world with her label Jasmine di Milo. Karim, the second child, is a businessman and photographer who focuses on philanthropy.
