The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Tuesday that several militant commanders linked to the October 7 attacks on Israel were killed in recent military operations conducted in Gaza.
According to the military, Muhammad Sa’id Ahmad Nimrouti, identified as a Hamas platoon commander, was among those targeted.
Israeli officials said Nimrouti crossed into Israeli territory during the October 7 attack and later participated in holding hostages inside Hamas-operated tunnel networks in Gaza.
Islamic Jihad Commander Also Targeted
In a separate operation, the IDF reported the killing of Mu’awiya Suleiman Saqr Ayadi, a platoon commander affiliated with the Islamic Jihad’s Central Camps Brigade.
Israeli authorities alleged that Ayadi took part in the attack on Kibbutz Be’eri during the October 7 assault. The military further stated that he was involved in the deployment of explosive devices during militant activities.
Additional Hamas Operatives Killed
The Israeli military also announced the elimination of two additional Hamas members who it said were involved in the October 7 attacks.
Those identified were Ahmad Abu Hin, described as a commander of a Hamas sniper cell, and Mahmoud Walid Jabr Abu Hin, whom the IDF identified as a Hamas operative.
Israeli officials claimed the two men had recently been engaged in efforts to rebuild Hamas’ operational capabilities, which Israel says violates the terms of the existing ceasefire arrangement.
Drone Explosions Injure Israeli Soldiers in Southern Lebanon
Separately, the IDF reported that two explosive drones detonated near Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon.
According to the military, the first drone explosion wounded four soldiers. A second explosive drone reportedly exploded several minutes later in the same area, injuring another soldier.
Israel Accuses Hezbollah of Escalating Threats
The Israeli military attributed the drone incidents to Hezbollah and accused the Lebanese armed group of continuing attacks in the border region.
The IDF said the incidents highlight ongoing security challenges along Israel’s northern frontier, where tensions between Israeli forces and Hezbollah have remained elevated amid the wider regional conflict.
Israeli officials stated that such attacks pose risks to both military personnel and civilians living near the border communities.
