He claimed the urgency was due to the death of a cousin and expressed the need to fly to Islamabad promptly. The next day, Sharif, along with Beinash Batool and Faisal Malik, departed the UK on a British Airways flight with five of the couple’s children. Tragically, Sara was left behind, and her lifeless body was discovered upon their arrival in Pakistan.
A Friend’s Recollection The friend who provided the plane tickets, Nadeem Riaz, reported that Sharif sounded normal and not noticeably different from his usual self during their conversation. After Sharif’s call, Riaz sent a message inquiring about the type of tickets required, to which Sharif responded with a simple “one way.” Riaz had known Sharif for 11 years and had previously assisted with travel arrangements.
