The incident occurred this morning (June 6) in Bournemouth, Dorset, prompting fire crews to quickly respond at approximately 9:51 am.

Presence of Emergency Personnel and Witnesses’ Accounts

Dorset Police and paramedics are also present at the scene, with local residents reporting that they heard a loud noise described as a “big boom,” according to DorsetLive.

Gas network company SGN has confirmed that the homeowner was inside the property during the incident and has been subsequently taken to the hospital.

Katie Lobban, a spokesperson for SGN, stated that their engineers joined the emergency services at Gunville Crescent in Bournemouth following reports of an explosion.

The homeowner, who was present at the time, was taken to the hospital, and SGN expresses its concern for their well-being.

Fire crews from Redhill Park, Springbourne, and Poole are currently at the scene, accompanied by police and ambulance personnel.

According to an individual who claims to have arrived shortly after the incident, a woman had to be rescued from beneath the rubble.

They reported that the event took place around 9:40 am, and upon hearing a loud boom, they went outside to find people already assisting the resident who lived in the affected house.

Videos captured at the scene show a significant amount of debris outside a building, and there is visible damage to one of the structures.
