The new I’m A Celebrity… The Wild Frontier spin-off has reportedly suffered an early setback, with Venezuela Fury and her husband Noah Price said to have quit the programme only days after filming began in British Columbia, Canada.
Venezuela, the 16-year-old daughter of Tyson and Paris Fury, is understood to have left the competition alongside Noah, 19, after the pair found the demanding conditions more difficult than expected.
The new ITV series, hosted by Ant and Dec, sees celebrity duos enter the Canadian wilderness together and face a series of physical and mental challenges.
Couple reportedly struggled with harsh conditions
According to a report in The Sun, Venezuela and Noah decided over the weekend that they could no longer continue with the programme.
A source told the newspaper that the couple quickly realised the experience was proving too difficult.
“Venezuela and Noah quit over the weekend after admitting they didn’t want to carry on,” the source said.
“They both realised early on it was too much. The challenges are tough, the living conditions aren’t easy.
They both gave it their best shot but when push came to shove, it all got too much and they walked out.”
The source added that their departure had created difficulties for the production team despite the expectation that the situation would make compelling television.
ITV has declined to comment on the reported exit.
Toni Laites reportedly set to join the cast
The report claims that 2025 Love Island winner Toni Laites and her best friend Marielle are now being brought into the programme as replacements for Venezuela and Noah.
They join a cast made up of celebrity couples and family members who have agreed to face the wilderness challenges together.
Among those taking part are former footballer Rio Ferdinand and his wife Kate, as well as siblings Louise Redknapp and Joe Nurding.
Dancing On Ice judges Christopher Dean and Karen Barber are also competing as a pair, while boyband stars Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy and social media personalities Paul Olima and Jeremy Lynch complete the line-up.
Ant and Dec warn of danger in the Canadian wilderness
Ant and Dec previously teased the new format in a social media video, revealing that the programme would introduce a major change to the familiar I’m A Celebrity formula.
Dec described The Wild Frontier as a “brand new show” featuring a different format, new trials and fresh challenges.
Ant explained that contestants would have to enter as pairs, compete together and ultimately leave as pairs.
The presenters also warned that the Canadian wilderness would present its own dangers, with Ant jokingly reducing the threat to one word: “Bears!”
The show will feature a live London final
The new series is scheduled to launch next year and will culminate in a live grand final from London, where viewers will be able to vote for the winning duo.
The unusual format was also referenced by Dec, who appeared to question the combination of the Canadian wilderness and a live finale.
The presenters’ comments included a playful reference to the chaotic conclusion of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… South Africa final, when winner Adam Thomas became involved in an on-air confrontation with Jimmy Bullard and David Haye following tensions that had developed during the series.
The new spin-off will run alongside the traditional I’m A Celebrity format, with the familiar Australia-based edition also returning later in the year.
Venezuela and Noah’s marriage attracted attention
Venezuela and Noah’s reported departure comes months after their marriage attracted considerable attention because of Venezuela’s age.
The couple married on the Isle of Man earlier this year, prompting criticism from some social media users who described Venezuela as a “child bride”.
Marriage is legally permitted at 16 on the Isle of Man with written consent from a parent or legal guardian, while the legal age for marriage without such circumstances is 18 in England and Wales.
Venezuela subsequently addressed the criticism on Instagram, sharing photographs from the wedding that showed the couple displaying their wedding rings and smiling together at the altar.
She captioned the images: “For everyone who said I was too young.”
The couple’s reported exit from The Wild Frontier now adds another unexpected development to a production that has yet to reach the screen.
