Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine has carried out a new series of long-range strikes targeting logistics, energy, and maritime infrastructure inside Russia, describing the operations as part of an effort to weaken Moscow’s ability to sustain its military campaign.
Kyiv Reports Attacks on Logistics Centers
In a statement, Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces struck three logistics facilities located in different parts of the Russian Federation.
According to the Ukrainian president, the targets were located in Sarapul, Kazan, and Volgograd, at distances ranging from roughly 500 kilometers to nearly 1,300 kilometers from Ukrainian territory.
He said the strikes formed part of Ukraine’s ongoing deep- and medium-range operations against infrastructure supporting Russia’s war effort.
Maritime Terminal and Oil Refinery Among Reported Targets
Zelenskyy also announced that Ukrainian forces targeted a maritime terminal in Russia’s Krasnodar region, approximately 270 kilometers from the front line.
In addition, he said an oil refinery in Russia’s Volgograd region, located nearly 480 kilometers from the line of contact, was successfully struck as part of the same campaign.
The Ukrainian leader did not provide details regarding the extent of damage or whether the attacks caused casualties.
Operations Extend Into the Sea of Azov
The president further stated that Ukrainian forces achieved what he described as successful strikes in the Sea of Azov.
No additional operational details were released regarding the nature of those attacks or the specific assets that were targeted.
Kyiv Says Campaign Aims to Reduce Russia’s Military Capacity
Zelenskyy said the strikes are conducted under Ukraine’s long-range strategy, which he characterized as a justified response to Russia’s ongoing invasion.
According to the president, the objective is to disrupt infrastructure that supports the Russian military by reducing access to logistical and industrial resources used in the war.
President Praises Ukrainian Forces
Concluding his remarks, Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian service members involved in the operations, commending them for carrying out what he described as precise and strategically important missions.
