When it comes to dating the daughter of one of boxing’s fiercest champions, it’s no surprise that popping the big question can be a nerve-wracking experience.
Tyson Fury’s teenage daughter, Venezuela, has revealed that her fiancé, Noah, was “all kinds of nervous” before asking her heavyweight dad for permission to propose.
The 16-year-old, who got engaged during her lavish birthday celebration last month, said her boyfriend was shaking with nerves as he prepared to approach The Gypsy King himself.
A Birthday Turned Into a Proposal to Remember
Venezuela’s engagement became public when her mom, Paris Fury, shared a video of the sweet moment on social media.
The clip showed 18-year-old Noah getting down on one knee at her glamorous party, surrounded by family and friends.
Reflecting on that emotional night, Venezuela said she had been completely taken by surprise.
“I was very shocked,” she admitted, calling it “probably one of the best moments of my life.”
Asking Tyson Fury’s Permission Was No Small Task
But before the romantic moment unfolded, Noah had a big challenge — facing Tyson Fury himself.
Venezuela told The Sun that her fiancé had been so nervous about asking her dad’s permission that he suffered “palpitations.”
“I think any boy would be scared of my dad,” she said with a laugh. “But it’s the respectful thing to do.
He said he was all kinds of nervous. It went well though — my dad wouldn’t interfere, he’s very supportive of whatever I do. He’s really happy for us.”
Shared Passions and a Proud Family Tradition
Venezuela revealed that her fiancé and her dad already have something in common — a shared love of boxing.
“Noah does boxing on the side,” she explained. “It gives them something to talk about. They haven’t trained together yet, but maybe they will now.”
Paris Fury has also spoken about how important the tradition of asking for a father’s blessing is in their family.
Tyson did the same when he proposed to Paris at just 17 years old.
Meeting the In-Laws Still to Come
Despite the engagement, Venezuela confessed that she hasn’t yet met Noah’s parents.
The young couple live a few hours apart and only see each other on weekends.
She said they’re not rushing into wedding plans until she’s met her future in-laws.
But Noah’s mom, Kathleen Price, recently spoke with the Daily Mail, expressing joy for her son and his fiancée.
“We’re all really happy, they’re a wonderful young couple with a bright future ahead,” she said proudly.
She also revealed plans for the couple’s future home, explaining, “When they’re married — whether that’s in two years or whenever they’re ready — the plan is for them to live with us.
We’ve applied for planning permission to build them a home behind our yard so they can stay close to family.”
Paris Fury Defends Her Daughter’s Young Engagement
After news of the engagement broke, Paris found herself defending her daughter from critics who said 16 was too young to be getting engaged.
Speaking on This Morning, she explained that Venezuela was simply following her own path — and her mother’s example.
“She’s very young, but we don’t worry at all,” Paris said. “Venezuela is mature for her age.
She’s helped raise her six younger siblings, done work in media, and taken on responsibilities most girls her age don’t have.”
Paris added that she herself got engaged to Tyson at 17, so she understands her daughter’s decision. “I can’t deny her happiness.
She’s found the person she loves, and if she’s happy, I’ll support her all the way,” she said warmly.
A Modern Fairytale in the Fury Family
The engagement may have stirred up plenty of public chatter, but for the Fury family, it’s a sweet moment filled with love and tradition.
With Tyson’s blessing, Paris’s full support, and a young couple deeply in love, it seems like another chapter in the ever-fascinating life of Britain’s most talked-about boxing family.
