After a driver fled the scene of a deadly collision with a biker on Aurora Avenue early on Monday, traffic collision detectives are looking into the incident.

The motorcycle rider and the driver of a black Dodge Charger were traveling south on Aurora at about 1:30 in the morning. The Charger driver made a turn in front of the biker, resulting in a collision.

After that, the driver of the Charger took off.

The 47-year-old motorcyclist attempted to be helped by police and medical personnel, but he passed away at the scene.

The implicated Charger was eventually discovered and impounded by police, but the driver is still missing.
