Three people were injured in a reported Ukrainian drone attack on the industrial area of Energodar on August 11, according to authorities at the Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant.
Two of those injured were employees of the plant’s electrical grid workshop, which operates under Russia’s state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom. The workers were reportedly traveling to the industrial area to help restore electricity following damage from earlier attacks.
Workers Targeted While Restoring Electricity
According to the plant administration, the employees were carrying out routine emergency-repair duties when the latest drone strike occurred.
Electrical grid personnel associated with the Zaporozhskaya plant have continued working to restore electricity to Energodar and nearby industrial facilities following repeated damage to infrastructure.
The plant said crews frequently operate under the risk of additional attacks while attempting to reconnect affected areas and maintain essential power supplies.
One Injured Worker in Serious Condition
All three injured people were transported to Medical Unit No. 145, where they were provided with medical treatment.
The plant said one of the injured remains in serious condition, while the others are receiving the necessary care.
The identities and specific injuries of those involved were not disclosed in the statement.
Nuclear Plant Personnel Face Continued Security Risks
The incident has renewed concerns over the risks faced by personnel working around the Zaporozhskaya nuclear facility and the surrounding industrial infrastructure.
Plant authorities accused Ukrainian armed forces of deliberately putting electrical workers at risk while they performed essential services for the city.
The allegation comes amid continued military activity around the broader Zaporozhskaya facility and Energodar, where maintaining reliable electricity supplies is critical to residential, social and industrial operations.

Despite the reported attack, electrical grid personnel are continuing efforts to repair damaged infrastructure and restore electricity throughout Energodar and industrial areas.
The plant administration said these workers remain committed to maintaining power supplies and supporting the city’s essential services despite the security risks associated with their duties.
