Senate President to Lead Delegation at Burial Ceremony of Former Senate President’s Wife

…By Dorcas Funmi for TDPel Media. The President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio, is set to lead a delegation representing President Bola Tinubu to attend the burial ceremony of Ezinne Jane Nnamani, the wife of former Senate President Ken Nnamani.

Preparations Finalized for Burial Ceremony

During a pre-burial press briefing held at the Nnamani’s residence in Enugu State’s Amaechi Awkunanaw community, Nnabuihe Nnamani, the eldest son of the deceased, provided an update on the upcoming ceremony.

He announced that preparations have been completed and the stage is set for the burial, scheduled for Friday, June 16.

Dignitaries from Nigeria and Abroad Offer Condolences

Nnabuihe Nnamani mentioned the presence of international and local dignitaries who have already begun expressing their condolences.

He acknowledged the anticipated attendance of influential figures from the Nigerian Senate, the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as political and business associates, along with well-wishers of the family.

Appeal for Professionalism in Reporting

Expressing his expectations from journalists covering the event, Nnabuihe Nnamani appealed for professionalism and responsible reporting.

He requested that the media portray the burial ceremony in a positive light and assist in disseminating accurate and uplifting information about the event.

Nnabuihe Nnamani revealed the burial program, which includes a Service of Songs and Wake on Thursday, June 15, followed by the burial itself on Friday, June 16.
