Meghan Markle drew attention to her jewellery choices in a new promotional video for As Ever, but it was the Duchess of Sussex’s rings rather than the recipe that dominated the conversation.

In the clip, shared on the brand’s Instagram page, the 44-year-old demonstrated how to make what she described as her favourite ice cream sundae.

The dessert featured raspberry spread poured into a glass before being layered with vanilla ice cream, crumbled shortbread and flower sprinkles.

The rings that caught the eye

While Meghan was promoting the sweet treat, royal watchers quickly noticed the jewellery on her hands.

She wore her wedding ring, a large pear-shaped diamond band believed to be worth about $250,000, and a new gold band that had not been identified.

She also appeared with Princess Diana’s Cartier Tank Française watch, which is valued at about £17,800 and was given to her after her marriage to Prince Harry.

A Jennifer Meyer mini bezel tennis bracelet, priced at about £2,370, was also visible.

The missing engagement ring

What was missing, however, was Meghan’s engagement ring, which is thought to be worth around £120,000.

The Duchess has reportedly not been seen wearing it for more than four months, with her last public appearance in the piece said to have been at an NBA game in California in February 2026.

That absence has fuelled renewed speculation about the ring’s history and whether it has been altered again.

Meghan’s engagement ring was originally designed by Cleave & Company after Prince Harry proposed in 2017, using diamonds taken from a bracelet belonging to Diana.

A ring with a changing history

The ring has been widely discussed over the years because of the changes made to its setting.

It is believed to have been resized and redesigned multiple times since the proposal at Nottingham Cottage.

By 2019, Meghan had been seen wearing a thinner band with small diamonds along the sides, a modification that jewellery experts said gave the piece a more American-style look.

Further speculation followed in 2022 and again in 2023, when the ring was either altered or temporarily absent from public view.

A pear-shaped diamond on the other hand

The diamond band Meghan wore on her right hand in the latest clip is not new.

She first debuted the pear-cut sparkler in October 2025 at a mental health event in New York.

Jewellery specialists have previously suggested that wearing a major ring on the right hand can signal independence, self-expression and a personal milestone.

The piece has also been viewed by some observers as part of a broader shift in Meghan’s jewellery style.

More glimpses from Montecito

Alongside the As Ever video, Meghan also posted a separate clip of herself arranging flowers.

The footage showed her walking through a garden before placing the blooms in a vase, apparently inside the kitchen of her Montecito home.

Her social media activity comes as As Ever continues to expand its lifestyle branding with new products, including a recently announced blackberry spread described by the company as a seasonal pantry favourite.
