Rachel Uchitel, the podcaster who first gained international attention for her involvement with Tiger Woods in 2009, is ready to say “I do” for the third time.
At 50, the media personality has found love with Palm Beach business mogul Dan Donovan, and she says it’s nothing short of magical.
“I feel so lucky. He’s a wonderful man,” Uchitel shared with the Daily Mail.
“He’s not just kind and successful, but he has this alpha energy without being a narcissist or an a**hole. It’s rare and so comforting.”
A Journey Through Heartbreak and Healing
Uchitel’s romantic history has been filled with dramatic highs and heartbreaking lows.
She lost her first fiancé in the September 11 attacks, experienced two failed marriages, and endured public scrutiny following her affair with Woods.
Despite these challenges, she has remained optimistic about finding “the one.”
“I didn’t think it would happen for me, especially after 40 and with a child,” she said.
“But the lesson is that everything happens when it’s supposed to happen.”
A Friendship That Turned Into Love
The couple initially met on a dating app, but romance didn’t spark immediately.
They began as friends, talking on the phone and spending time together in a platonic setting.
Donovan even became close to Uchitel’s daughter, Wyatt, taking her and friends on boat trips and enjoying weekends together.
“Over time, I realized I really adored him as a person,” Uchitel explained.
“Eventually, I thought, ‘I don’t want to be without this person!’ That’s when he asked me out, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.”
A Picture-Perfect Proposal
Donovan proposed at the Rosewood Miramar in Santa Barbara, with a breathtaking sunset as the backdrop.
Uchitel’s daughter helped pick out her stunning 10.5-carat diamond engagement ring, which Uchitel says she adores and never takes off.
Celebrating in Style: Bachelorette in Nashville
To celebrate, Uchitel threw a star-studded bachelorette party in Nashville, hosted by her maid of honor Diana Khabbaz and friend Paige Davis.
The group stayed at the luxurious 1 Hotel and enjoyed live music from Instagram-famous DJ Eric Rhodes.
Guests received custom gift bags filled with luxury items, from hand-beaded necklaces to rhinestone-covered champagne bottles.
Uchitel herself embraced the country vibe, wearing a cowgirl outfit with white boots and a personalized hat reading “Mrs. D.”
Reclaiming Her Narrative Through Podcasting
After years of public judgment, Uchitel has regained her credibility with the success of her podcast, Miss Understood with Rachel Uchitel.
Launched in 2023, the show lets her interview misunderstood figures, giving them a platform to tell their stories and, in the process, proving her own expertise in navigating life under scrutiny.
“Finding success on my own and reclaiming my story helped me find the right frame of mind to fall in love again,” she said.
Love and Timing
Uchitel reflected on the timing of her relationship with Donovan, noting that meeting four years earlier wouldn’t have worked. “I wasn’t in the space I am now.
I was still figuring out my purpose. Now, with my podcast thriving, I feel secure in my own skin.”
A Past of High-Profile Relationships
Uchitel’s past includes her first engagement to James Andrew O’Grady, tragically lost on 9/11, a brief first marriage in 2004, and a second marriage to former football player Matt Hahn, with whom she shares her daughter Wyatt.
She also had high-profile affairs with Tiger Woods and actor David Boreanaz.
Despite this, she has found her happy ending with Donovan, while Woods has also moved on and found love with Vanessa Trump, his current partner and mother to his two children.
Looking Forward
Now engaged and in love, Uchitel seems to have found both personal and professional fulfillment.
Between a thriving podcast, a supportive partner, and a loving relationship with her daughter, she is finally stepping into a chapter of life defined by happiness, stability, and self-assuredness.
