During his visit, the Prince met with children and families who have been supported by the charity, as well as the dedicated staff and volunteers who provide essential services.
The Northwest branch, where he spent time, is the charity’s busiest location in the UK.
Last year alone, Child Bereavement UK assisted over 3,000 children, young people, and adults through counseling, face-to-face sessions, a helpline, and live chat services.

Prince William became patron of the charity to continue his mother’s legacy.
When taking on the role, he expressed his deep personal connection to its mission.
“What my mother recognized back then – and what I understand now – is that grief is the most painful experience that any child or parent can endure.”
