ORLANDO PIRATES’ FEBRUARY FIXTURES IN THE DSTV PREMIERSHIP, NEDBANK CUP, AND CAF CONFEDERATION CUP
The coaches and players might not really enjoy this schedule. Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids’ men will jump into six matches, three competitions that include a 16-hour trip to Tripoli, Libya!
The football will begin this Sunday against Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu in Soweto for the Nedbank Cup last 32. This will be followed by two CAF Confederation Cup games as well as two home DStv Premiership games against Golden Arrows and Cape Town City respectively.

In other updates, Orlando Pirates players have been spotted taking a moment to define a couple of interesting tactical words.
Orlando Pirates players have confirmed we all did not know as much as we thought. The players have defined seven tactical concepts that include a ‘50 % press’ and ‘vertical pass.’
The video, as shared by the club via YouTube on Monday afternoon, features the likes of Vincent Pule, Abel Mabaso, Ben Motshwari, Kabelo Dlamini, and the club’s active legend Happy Jele.
As a winger, Pule begins the feature by explaining what a 50% cross is.
“It is when the wide attacker crosses the ball [to land] in front of the keeper and [behind] the defenders in order for the striker to gain an advantage in finishing the attack,” he said. Read the full story here.
