It’s not every Saturday night that a guest star manages to steal the spotlight on Strictly Come Dancing, but La Voix did just that.
During the show’s spectacular Halloween Week episode, the drag performer took a surprising turn as she briefly filled in for Tess Daly — and fans absolutely loved it.
The 45-year-old singer, known for her bold personality and razor-sharp wit, owned the stage as she introduced herself and her next dance number, a dramatic paso doble set to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5.
The Queen of Hearts Takes Charge
Dressed head to toe as the Queen of Hearts, La Voix delivered her introduction with the confidence of a seasoned show host.
“So far this series, our next star has been a boxer, a bird lady, and Cher — quite the variety,” she joked before adding, “Tonight, she’s taking on the Queen of Hearts for an Alice in Wonderland-inspired paso doble. It’s La Voix!”
Tess Daly couldn’t help but beam as La Voix turned to her mid-performance and cheekily asked, “How did I do?” Tess’s instant reply — “Nailed it!” — sent the audience into a round of laughter and applause.
The quick exchange was pure gold for fans, who immediately took to social media to share their love for La Voix’s charm and confidence.
Viewers Beg the BBC to Give La Voix a Permanent Role
It didn’t take long for social media to explode with praise.
Viewers flooded X (formerly Twitter) with messages calling for La Voix to become one of the show’s new presenters.
“La Voix seriously needs to become one of the new presenters,” one fan wrote, while another added, “I wouldn’t mind if La Voix replaced Tess — she’s brilliant!”
Others couldn’t get enough of her energy, tweeting things like “La Voix doing her own thing — I love it! Give my girl the job,” and “I’m sold.
Give La Voix Tess’s spot!” The reaction was overwhelmingly positive, with many calling her “comedy gold” and “a national treasure in the making.”
A Star Already Eyeing the Job
This wasn’t the first time La Voix hinted she had her eye on a hosting gig.
Just a week earlier, she playfully asked Claudia Winkleman for her job — live on air.
The moment came after Claudia and Tess shocked fans by announcing they’d be stepping down from Strictly after the current season, marking the end of their iconic partnership as the BBC’s first all-female presenting duo.
During the show’s “Icons Week,” La Voix — performing as Cher with dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec — cheekily asked Claudia, “Do you know the address where you send your CV to the BBC? Just in case any jobs are coming up.”
Claudia, laughing, led her to the camera and said, “Give it a go, babe, let’s do it now.”
Without missing a beat, La Voix turned to the camera and simply said, “Tess.”
The audience erupted with laughter, and even Tess couldn’t help but clap and call it “perfect.”
Fans Declare La Voix a “National Treasure in the Making”
Viewers absolutely adored the hilarious exchange. Comments flooded in: “La Voix’s timing is impeccable,” wrote one fan, while another added, “She has the sarcastic wit of Bruce Forsyth — make her the host already!”
Others chimed in with, “Forget the glitterball — give La Voix the job,” and “She’s pure entertainment; everything she says is gold.”
Social media was unanimous: La Voix’s charisma, humor, and warmth made her a natural fit for the Strictly hosting team.
The Future of Strictly’s Hosting Line-Up
As the BBC continues its search for new presenters to take over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, speculation is swirling over who will fill their glittery shoes.
With stars from Alan Carr to AJ Odudu rumored to be in the mix, La Voix has already proven she’s ready for her close-up — and she’s got the audience firmly on her side.
For now, she’s continuing to light up the dance floor alongside her fellow contestants, but if her fanbase has anything to say about it, La Voix’s next big role might not be behind the microphone — it could be at the presenter’s desk.
The 2025 Strictly Line-Up Shines Bright
This year’s Strictly Come Dancing cast includes Olympic sprinter Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston, EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal, and reality TV favorites Thomas Skinner and Vicky Pattison.
Also taking part are football pundit Karen Carney, YouTuber George Clark, rugby star Chris Robshaw, model Ellie Goldstein, and many more.
With such a diverse and entertaining line-up, it’s shaping up to be another unforgettable season — especially with personalities like La Voix keeping everyone laughing on and off the dance floor.
