In a whirlwind of online controversy, Kash Patel, the FBI Director, fired back at critics after being accused of using an FBI jet to watch his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, perform at a wrestling match in Pennsylvania.
Patel, 45, didn’t hold back, taking to social media to call out what he described as “uninformed internet anarchists” while defending Wilkins.
“The disgustingly baseless attacks against Alexis—a true patriot and the woman I’m proud to call my partner—are beyond pathetic,” Patel wrote.
“She is a rock-solid conservative and a country music sensation who has done more for this nation than most will in ten lifetimes. I’m so blessed she’s in my life.”
He added that attacking her is not only wrong but “cowardly” and endangers safety, emphasizing that his love for family will remain untouchable.
Spokesperson Defends Travel, Critics Fire Back
Patel’s spokesperson, Ben Williamson, also weighed in, noting that his personal trips are modest compared with previous FBI directors, like James Comey and Christopher Wray, and that Patel reimburses the government in advance.
“He’s allowed to take personal time to see family, friends, or his longtime girlfriend,” Williamson said. “He doesn’t do it often.”
However, criticism has been swift. Former FBI agent Kyle Seraphin mocked Patel online, satirically claiming he flew the FBI jet to see his girlfriend while government workers went unpaid.
Conservative commentator Candace Owens also slammed Patel’s public defense, questioning the seriousness of the nation while the FBI head tweeted in defense of his girlfriend.
Internal Tensions and Fallout
The controversy appears to have caused ripple effects within the FBI.
Reports suggest Patel fired senior official Steven Palmer, a 27-year veteran in crisis management, over negative publicity surrounding the jet use.
Multiple sources say Palmer was told he could resign or be terminated.
Meanwhile, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy AG Todd Blanche have reportedly clashed with Patel over his handling of an investigation into a supposed “potential act of terror” in Michigan, which later turned out to involve gamers.
Alexis Wilkins Faces Online Attacks
Wilkins, 26, has been the target of online conspiracies throughout Patel’s tenure.
Critics accused her of being involved in alleged Trump administration cover-ups and even baselessly claimed she was a Mossad spy.
Wilkins, a devout Christian, has denied these allegations and revealed she’s had to block the term “honeypot” from her Instagram comments due to harassment.
Despite the attacks, she has remained publicly supportive of Patel, standing by his side at his swearing-in ceremony in a striking all-white gown.
Wilkins praised Patel’s loyalty and kindness, even recalling a conversation with former President Trump who asked if Patel was loyal, to which she confidently responded, “Yes.”
A Relationship in the Public Eye
The couple first met at a ReAwaken America event in October 2022 and began dating in January 2023.
Their relationship, now over two years strong, has drawn attention from MAGA supporters, with interest in Patel’s relationship status spiking during his confirmation hearings.
While they planned to move to D.C. together, Wilkins continues her country music career and has taken a political role as press secretary for Rep. Abe Hamadeh (R-Ariz.).
She plans to split her time between Nashville and D.C., maintaining her presence in both the music and political arenas.
Alexis Wilkins’ Rising Profile
Wilkins has become a rising voice in conservative circles, speaking at Young America’s Foundation events, the Reagan Ranch, and collaborating with organizations like the John Wayne Cancer Foundation.
She hosts the podcast Between the Headlines on Rumble and participates in NRA Country programs connecting country artists with Second Amendment supporters.
Musically, she has performed alongside legends like Lee Greenwood, Sara Evans, and Joe Nichols.
Her Veteran’s Day single Stand and debut EP Grit both landed in the iTunes Top 10.
She is passionate about veterans’ causes, often performing at VA hospitals and collaborating with the group Warrior Rounds.
Committed to the Future
With her growing influence in politics and entertainment, Wilkins appears more committed than ever to her relationship with Patel.
The couple seems ready to navigate both their high-profile public lives and professional ambitions together, with Wilkins balancing her music career while supporting Patel’s role in government.
