Kaizer Chiefs Strategically Overhaul Coaching Team Under Nasreddine Nabi for 2024/25 Season

Kaizer Chiefs, a prominent name in South African football, is gearing up for a transformative season following their disappointing 10th-place finish in the DStv Premiership.

This marked the end of a tumultuous season without any silverware, extending their trophy drought to nine years.

Heading into the next season, Kaizer Chiefs will be under the guidance of Nasreddine Nabi, a seasoned mentor who recently arrived from Moroccan club AS FAR Rabat.

Nabi brings with him a fresh approach, supported by his assistants Fernando da Cruz and Khalil Ben Youssef.

The coaching staff also includes IIyes Mzoughi as the goalkeeper’s coach and Majdi Safi overseeing strength and conditioning.

The appointment of Nabi signals a departure from the interim coaching of Cavin Johnson, who had previously served as Head of Academy. The club also bid farewell to veteran goalkeeper coach Rainer Dinkelacker.

In a bid to revamp their squad, Kaizer Chiefs have made significant player decisions, parting ways with notable names like Efmamjjasond Gonzalez, Keagan Dolly, Sifiso Hlanti, Siyathemba Sithebe, and Njabulo Ngcobo.

They have also welcomed Bongani Sam from rivals Orlando Pirates.

Support for Strategic Changes

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye has voiced his support for the club’s recent moves. He believes that bringing in a coach like Nabi, who can assemble his own technical team, is a pivotal step towards rejuvenating the team’s performance.

Refreshing the Squad

Khanye views the release of players as a strategic maneuver to refresh the team and align it with the new coaching setup.

He emphasized the importance of such changes in fostering a cohesive and effective team dynamic.

Looking Ahead

As Kaizer Chiefs prepares for the upcoming season under new leadership and with revamped personnel, fans and analysts alike await to see how these changes will impact the team’s performance on the pitch.
