JAY-Z is back on Instagram to promote his upcoming movie, The Book of Clarence, which should come out early in 2019. On Tuesday, August 29, Hov reactivated his Instagram account and uploaded the movie’s trailer. The Jeymes Samuel-directed film will hit theaters nationally on January 12, 2024.
As a messiah who is inspired by Jesus, LaKeith Stanfield, who is executive produced by the Brooklyn businessman, leads the cast in the biblical drama alongside Teyana Taylor, J. Cyler, Benedict Cumberbatch, James McAvoy, Anna Diop, and other actors. According to Jay-Z, everyone’s story is that of a young man who finds religion through love and the desire to succeed in the world. He made this assertion in an interview with Vanity Fair.
After working together on the 2021 film The Harder They Fall, Jigga gushed about his longtime collaborator Jeymes Samuel and the idea for the movie. Additionally, there are rumors that JAY-Z is writing new songs. JAY-Z will provide original music to The Book of Clarence’s soundtrack.
The Roc Nation CEO joined Instagram in 2021 to advertise his Western movie The Harder They Fall before closing his account, which had 55,000 followers as of press time, less than a day later. Despite the fact that Tuesday’s post is technically Jay’s first on the social media platform, he had previously used it to promote his film.
