An 18- year- old boy, later identified as Soliu Majekodunmi by police detectives from the Nigerian Police Force’ s Ogun State Command, was said to have conspired with three of his friends to kill his 20- year- old girlfriend for money ritual purposes in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
It was also reported that the 18- year- old boy, Soliu Majekodunmi, after he was arrested by the police officers of Adatan Police Headquarters of the Nigerian Police Force, confessed to having murdered his girlfriend for ritual purposes because he learnt the practice through Facebook.
While the 18- year- old suspect, Soliu Majekodunmi, was paraded by the police officers of the Ogun State Command of the Nigerian Police Force alongside his partners in crime before some local newsmen on Monday morning, which was January 31st, 2022, he confessed to having gotten all the information about money rituals on Facebook.
The 18- year- old suspect, Soliu Majekodunmi, further stated that he typed in ” HOW TO MAKE MONEY RITUAL” on Facebook and got all the details he required for the money ritual purposes. He also said that the video he downloaded from Facebook instructed him to behead and burn a female skull in a local pot for him to be rich.
Soliu Majekodunmi added that he conspired with his best friends, who were later identified as Mustakeem Balogun and two others, to lure his 20- year- old daughter, Sofiyah, to their apartment in the Oke Aregba area of Abeokuta, where they brutally killed and beheaded her at the spot before placing her remains in a sack and abandoning them in an uncompleted building.
Finally, the suspects confessed to the police officers of Ogun State Command of the Nigerian Police Force in the presence of local newsmen that they concluded on using the head of the young girl, three pigeon eggs known as’ Eyin Aparo ‘ in Yoruba language and other fetish ingredients for money ritual purposes because they wanted to ride exotic cars and live in luxury apartments.
