Shocking Hit-and-Run Incident
A shocking hit-and-run incident unfolded when a BMW driver ploughed into a mother walking with her baby girl, narrowly missing the pram. The incident, captured in terrifying footage, occurred as Rajdeep Kaur, aged 37, was pushing her 13-month-old daughter on February 3.
They were walking at the junction of North Hyde Lane and Raleigh Road in Southall, west London when a silver BMW struck her.
The vehicle, traveling in the wrong direction, overtook a line of traffic and collided with the mother, miraculously avoiding the pram.
Severe Injuries and Life-Altering Consequences
The collision propelled the mother several feet into the air, resulting in life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services were promptly summoned to the scene, and Mrs. Kaur was rushed to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with leg and pelvis injuries.
After an extensive period in the hospital, the mother’s mobility has been severely restricted, rendering her unable to independently care for her daughter.
The incident left both mother and child profoundly affected by its traumatic aftermath.
£5,000 Reward for Information
In an effort to apprehend the hit-and-run driver, a reward of £5,000 has been offered for any information that leads to the conviction of the responsible individual.
Despite initial efforts by witnesses to capture the BMW X5’s number plates, it was later revealed that these plates had been cloned, further complicating the investigation.
Desperate Plea for Justice
Detective Constable Davina Nash, who has been at the forefront of the investigation, expressed the gravity of the case, describing it as “very distressing.”
She emphasized the life-altering consequences of the incident for Mrs. Kaur and underscored the fortunate fact that the 13-month-old daughter escaped harm.
The investigation is now joined by the charity Crimestoppers, which is offering the reward for crucial information.
The police believe the BMW driver has local ties to the Hounslow area and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
