APC National Chairman Vows to Protect Party’s Mandate in Nasarawa State

APC National Chairman’s Commitment to Protecting Party’s Mandate in Nasarawa State

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the party’s mandate in Nasarawa State.

This resolute stance comes in the wake of the recent judgment by the Nasarawa governorship election petitions tribunal, which removed Abdullahi Sule as the state’s governor and declared David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the duly elected governor.

Confident in APC’s Victory

Despite the tribunal’s decision, the APC national chairman remains confident in his party’s victory in the March 18 polls.

Speaking at a reception organized in honor of the Nasarawa State Chairman of the APC, Aliyu Bello, held at the City Hall in Lafia, Ganduje expressed his unwavering belief that the APC emerged victorious. He emphasized that there is no doubt about the party’s win in the state.

Pledge to Protect the Mandate

Ganduje, who was represented at the event by the National Vice Chairman (North Central), Alhaji Muazu Rijau, declared the party’s commitment to protecting its mandate. He asserted, “We have won the election, and we shall protect our mandate.

There is no doubt about it. Nasarawa State belongs to APC, and APC belongs to Nasarawa State. We are in charge, and we will continue to be in charge by the grace of God.”

High Praise for Aliyu Bello

The event also saw the presence of prominent figures, including Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, and his immediate predecessor, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, as well as Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada (Nasarawa West).

These dignitaries lauded the leadership qualities of Aliyu Bello, highlighting his integral role in the party’s success.

Achievements Attributed to the APC

Governor Sule commended the positive changes brought about by the defunct Congress Progressives Change (CPC), which merged with other parties to form the APC.

He noted that Nasarawa State began experiencing genuine development from 2011 onward, emphasizing the impact of the party on the state’s progress.

He further underscored the significant role played by Aliyu Bello, stating that “APC is Aliyu Bello, and Aliyu Bello is APC.”
