Volkswagen polo and Greyhound bus tragedy claims the lives of five people.

At the intersection of N6 and R702 Road in Free State, a Greyhound Luxury Coach and a White Volkswagen Polo hatchback collided, killing five passengers. Police have opened a case of culpable homicide.

The accident happened in the early hours of Sunday, 3 September.
Five people were killed when a Volkswagen Polo and a Greyhound bus collided.
Lieutenant Colonel Thabo Covane, a spokesman for the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Free State, said that officers were dispatched to the scene and, upon arrival, discovered that a light motor vehicle and a Greyhound bus had collided.
According to Covane, the bus was heading south towards Reddersburg when it allegedly ran over a Polo moving east-west. Both vehicles allegedly disregarded a stop sign.

The Polo then flipped, ejecting three of the four passengers while trapping the driver and the other passenger inside.
