The annual report reveals that 52 Latinx-owned firms were active in the market in 2023, marking a significant 21% increase from the previous year.

Notably, 44% of these Latinx firms were in the process of raising subsequent funds, indicating sustained growth.

The report also highlights that Latinx-owned firms are targeting a median fund size of $100 million, aligning with broader trends in woman and minority-owned firms.

Challenges and Opportunities for Woman and Minority-Owned Firms

While the number of woman-owned firms experienced robust growth, reaching a record 167 in the market with an 11% increase, challenges persist for minority woman-owned firms.

African-American woman-owned firms saw a 1% decrease, and Asian-American woman-owned firms faced a 5% decline compared to the previous year.

The report underscores that Latina-owned firms are the most underrepresented group, with a shift in target fund size from $40 million to $35 million.
