Edo Police Apprehend Fake Spiritualist Exploiting Woman’s Vulnerability
In a recent development, the police in Uromi town, Esan South-East LGA of Edo State, arrested Emmanuel Ebeagbor, a 20-year-old individual known as Dr. Walock.
The arrest was made in connection to a fraudulent scheme where Ebeagbor extorted N240,000 from a woman and subsequently threatened to expose her nude video online.
Deceptive Tactics Exposed by Edo Police Commissioner
Commissioner of Police Funsho Adegboye revealed the details of the case during a weekend press conference where Ebeagbor was paraded along with 17 other suspects.
According to Adegboye, Ebeagbor solicited N240,000 from the victim under the guise of solving her spiritual problem, which involved recurring nightmares.
Financial Exploitation and Coercion Tactics
After the victim transferred the requested amount to Ebeagbor’s bank account, he took advantage of the situation.
The suspect then demanded the victim’s nude video for alleged spiritual cleansing, assuring her that he would delete it after use.
However, the situation took a dark turn when, two weeks later, Ebeagbor began blackmailing the victim.
He demanded an additional N400,000, threatening to release the compromising video on the internet if she refused compliance.
Police Investigation Unveils Disturbing Evidence
Adegboye further disclosed that, during the investigation, the police discovered not only the complainant’s nude video but also similar videos of other women on Ebeagbor’s phone.
The incident sheds light on the extent of the suspect’s deceitful and exploitative activities.

In an interview with journalists, Ebeagbor confessed to presenting himself as a spiritualist to the victim, promising to offer assistance.
