In a chilling turn of events, footage has surfaced showing Carley Elbert, a struggling actress, enjoying a carefree moment by the ocean just days before her tragic murder.
The video, captured on July 27th, features Elbert, 32, rapping about “spitting rhymes” and dancing on a jetty near the Flagship Hotel in Atlantic City.
The picturesque backdrop of the Atlantic City skyline contrasts starkly with the grim fate that awaited her.
Discovery of the Victims
Tragically, just six days later, Elbert was found deceased on a nearby jetty. She was discovered around 4:41 am wearing only a bikini and suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
Alongside her was Kamille Stewart, 29, who had also been shot but was still conscious. Stewart was promptly taken to AtlantiCare Medical Center for treatment.
Initial investigations reveal that both women were shot in the head, and three men have been arrested in connection with the crime, although the motive remains unclear.
Elbert had recently celebrated entering remission from mastocytosis, a rare condition characterized by an excess of mast cells in the body. Earlier in her career, she worked as an extra on TV shows such as ‘General Hospital’ and ‘The Elizabeth Smart Story.’
In recent times, her social media posts suggested she was struggling with personal issues.
Family’s Heartfelt Plea
Carley Elbert’s mother, Nancy Elbert, expressed her profound grief over her daughter’s death.
In a heartfelt statement to WPVI, Nancy condemned the suspects and vowed to seek justice.
“I hope you rot in hell. I’ll see this to the end for justice for my Carley,” she said. “She didn’t deserve to go out like this.”
Arrests and Investigation Developments
Three men from Philadelphia have been charged in connection with the murders.
Gregg Page, 34, faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and related weapons offenses. Brothers Ryan Schenck, 30, and Ramir Schenck, 27, are charged with hindering the apprehension of a suspect.
Surveillance footage from the Flagship Hotel shows a car pulling up to the boardwalk around 2 am, with five people disembarking and walking along the boardwalk. Shortly after, only two of them returned to the car and drove away.
Criminal Activity Uncovered
A criminal complaint reveals that Page stole a car from one of the victims and fled the scene.
Surveillance footage reportedly captures Page driving the stolen vehicle before abandoning it at a different location.
Page was then picked up by his accomplices and driven back to Philadelphia. Police later traced Elbert’s cell phone to the 6100 block of Mulberry Street in Philadelphia.
Exclusive video footage shows the moment when FBI agents and local officers arrested the three suspects at this location. The men are currently being held in Philadelphia and are awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
