Baby name trends have always been fascinating — but 2025 might just be the boldest year yet in the delivery rooms of the rich and famous.
Gone are the days when only Hollywood A-listers gave their children one-of-a-kind names.
Now, social media stars, YouTubers, and influencers are joining the creative chaos — and the results range from sweetly symbolic to downright baffling.
From “Forever Sugar” to “Aquaman,” this year’s celebrity baby names are turning heads for all the right (and sometimes wrong) reasons.
Experts have weighed in, revealing the inspirations behind these unusual picks — and predicting which little ones might grow up to change theirs the moment they hit eighteen.
Anne-Marie and Slowthai Name Their Baby “Forever Sugar”
Singer Anne-Marie, 34, stunned fans earlier this year when she announced on ITV’s This Morning that she and her husband, rapper Slowthai (real name Tyron Kaymone Frampton, 30), had welcomed a baby boy named Forever Sugar.
The name, she explained, was partly inspired by her struggle with gestational diabetes during pregnancy and partly by a touching family tradition.
“My nan used to sign every card with ‘always and forever,’” Anne-Marie shared.
“Now my mum and sister do it too, and I just thought Forever was such a cool name.”
Not everyone was convinced. U.S. celebrity baby name consultant Taylor Humphrey said the name felt “like a modern Puritan phrase,” comparing it to other word-based celebrity names such as North West.
She added, “Forever Sugar sounds sweet, but also sits firmly in the influencer lane.”
Katherine Ryan and Bobby Koostra Go Dutch with “Holland Juliette”
Comedian Katherine Ryan, 42, and her partner Bobby Koostra, 42, also made headlines after welcoming their newest addition, Holland Juliette.
The couple, already parents to Fred, 4, and Fenna, and raising Katherine’s eldest daughter Violet, 16, revealed the news through a heartfelt Instagram post.
“Holland Juliette Kootstra has arrived,” Bobby wrote.
“The Patrick Mahomes of childbirth pulled out another MVP performance!”
According to name expert SJ Strum, Holland is a “trendy gender-neutral name” that makes sense for the couple, given that their daughter Fenna also has a Dutch name. U.S. expert Taylor Humphrey called it “a standard millennial place name,” noting that Holland ranked #602 on America’s baby name chart last year.
Trisha Paytas and Moses Hacmon Dive Deep with “Aquaman”
Social media star Trisha Paytas, 37, took things to the extreme when she and her husband, Moses Hacmon, welcomed a baby boy named Aquaman.
Known for her dramatic online presence, Trisha revealed that the name was inspired by her and Moses’ love of water — and the DC superhero.
“I’ve been obsessed with Aquaman since 2017,” she said on her Just Trish podcast.
“He’s half land, half sea — like our baby — and he can talk to fish!”
However, experts weren’t impressed. SJ Strum said, “Naming your baby after a literal superhero might sound fun, but it’s going to lead to endless jokes and comparisons.”
She added that in some countries, “superhero names” are even banned.
Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis Introduce “Seldon Lycurgus”
In true Elon Musk fashion, the tech mogul, 54, and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, 39, announced the birth of their son Seldon Lycurgus, joining siblings Strider, Azure, and Arcadia.
The name is believed to be inspired by Hari Seldon, the fictional mathematician from Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series, and Lycurgus, the ancient Spartan lawgiver.
“It’s a mission statement wrapped in a name,” said SJ Strum, calling it fittingly intellectual for Musk.
Taylor Humphrey described it as one of Elon’s “tamer” baby names — especially compared to X Æ A-Xii and Exa Dark Sideræl.
“Seldon Lycurgus fits perfectly into the ‘Dark Academia’ trend,” she said, “like something straight out of a sci-fi or ancient history novel.”
Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright Choose “Palma Elizabeth”
Actress Michelle Keegan, 38, and her husband Mark Wright, 38, opted for something more sentimental — naming their baby girl Palma Elizabeth.
The name, reportedly inspired by Palma, the capital of Majorca, reflects the couple’s love of the island where they own a second home.
“Majorca is like a second home to them,” a source told The Sun.
SJ Strum described Palma as “a one-of-a-kind name” that reflects the modern trend of choosing travel-inspired monikers.
“It’s perfect for parents who want their child to stand out,” she said.
Nara Smith and Lucky Blue Welcome “Fawnie Goldie”
Influencer Nara Smith, 24, and her husband, model Lucky Blue, 27, recently introduced their fourth child, a baby girl named Fawnie Goldie.
The couple, already parents to Rumble Honey, Whimsy Lou, and Slim Easy, are known for their quirky name choices.
“Everything Nara does sits at the intersection of high fashion and satire,” said Taylor Humphrey. “Her baby names are no different.”
SJ Strum called the duo “Gen Z’s answer to the Beckhams,” saying their adventurous naming style is part of their appeal.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Go Rock Solid with “Rocki Irish”
Music power couple Rihanna, 37, and A$AP Rocky, 36, welcomed their third child, a baby girl named Rocki Irish Mayers, in September.
The name mirrors her father’s moniker, whose real name is Rakim Mayers.
“Names reflect our deepest values,” said Taylor Humphrey. “Rocki perfectly captures Rihanna and Rocky’s shared sense of strength and rebellion.”
The couple already share sons RZA and Riot Rose — making their children’s names as distinctive and confident as their parents.
Cressida Bonas and Harry Wentworth-Stanley Choose “Delphina Pandora”
Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas, 36, and her husband Harry Wentworth-Stanley, 36, went for a name rich with symbolism: Delphina Pandora.
Pandora honors Cressida’s half-sister, who battled cancer for 24 years.
“Delphina, meaning Oracle of Delphi, carries a spiritual edge,” said SJ Strum.
“Pairing it with Pandora gives it that ‘dark heroine’ energy we’re seeing rise in the baby name charts.”
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly Welcome “Saga Blade”
Actress Megan Fox, 39, and rapper Machine Gun Kelly, 35, embraced their love of drama by naming their baby girl Saga Blade.
The name represents both the couple’s difficult pregnancy journey and Fox’s Norwegian heritage — as “Saga” is the name of a Norse goddess.
“It reflects their epic story of loss and renewal,” said SJ Strum.
“It’s dramatic, poetic, and fits their larger-than-life image perfectly.”
Jesy Nelson and Zion Foster Introduce Twins “Ocean Jade” and “Story Monroe”
Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson, 34, and her fiancé Zion Foster, 26, became parents to twin girls named Ocean Jade and Story Monroe earlier this year.
Fans quickly noted the nod to Jesy’s former bandmate, Jade Thirlwall.
“These names feel creative but meaningful,” said SJ Strum.
“Ocean and Story are symbolic — one of nature, one of journey.” Both, she added, are rising fast in popularity.
Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome Welcome “Goldie G”
Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, 36, and actress Georgia Groome, 33, welcomed a daughter named Goldie G in April.
The actor announced the birth online, jokingly calling her a “10/10 baby (so far).”
Experts say Goldie strikes a balance between glamour and nostalgia.
“It’s bright, warm, and a little retro,” said Taylor Humphrey, noting that “sunshine” names are trending again.
Poppy Delevingne and Archie Keswick Shine with “Kaia Moon”
Model Poppy Delevingne, 39, and her partner Archie Keswick, 44, welcomed Kaia Moon in May — a name that both experts loved.
“Kaia means ‘Earth,’ and pairing it with ‘Moon’ makes it celestial but grounded,” said SJ Strum. “It’s lyrical, cool, and totally on trend.”
Taylor Humphrey agreed, describing it as “light, airy, and effortlessly chic — the kind of name that feels like moonlight dancing on water.”
What’s Next in the World of Celebrity Baby Names?
From “Forever Sugar” to “Saga Blade,” 2025 proves that celebrity baby names are no longer just about standing out — they’re about storytelling, symbolism, and self-expression.
Whether inspired by mythology, geography, or pure imagination, these names show just how creative — and unpredictable — modern parents can be.
