Anlia Etzebeth, the wife of South African rugby star Eben Etzebeth, gave her followers a special look at how she and her family celebrated Christmas this year.
The couple, who welcomed their first child in January 2024, spent their festive season in Cape Town.
Anlia shared a heartwarming Instagram post on January 7, offering a glimpse into their family celebrations.
First Christmas as Parents
This Christmas was extra special for Anlia and Eben, as it marked their first Christmas together as parents.
The couple welcomed their baby in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal, and although they were in Cape Town for the holiday season, they are now heading back to Durban, where Eben plays for the Sharks.
Anlia reflected on their joyful time, posting, “Christmas 2024.
My hart is vol,” which translates to “My heart is full,” a sentiment that resonated with their fans.
A Family-Filled Christmas in Cape Town
Anlia shared that their time in Cape Town had come to an end but that it was filled with incredible moments spent with family and friends.
She expressed her wishes for a blessed 2025, hoping the year ahead would bring joy to all.
Despite their departure, many of their followers expressed a wish for the Etzebeths to stay in Cape Town.
Fans left comments like, “The Cape is the best! Just staying here.
Your family is here too,” and “Time for you to permanently move back to the Cape, after all, it’s your home.”
Others jokingly suggested Eben should rejoin the Stormers, with one fan writing, “Eben I think it’s time to rejoin Stormers.
The cape is calling you.”
Family Christmas Tree Moments
Anlia also took to Instagram earlier to share a Reel of the family decorating their Christmas tree together, capturing the joy of having Eben at home.
“It’s Dezemba!!!! Sooooo nice to have Daddy at home!!” she wrote, further highlighting the love and happiness of their first Christmas as parents.
