It was a Halloween night to remember for TLC star Amy Slaton as she tied the knot with fiancé Brian Lovvorn.
Choosing a historic and slightly eerie venue, the couple said their “I dos” at the Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, Kentucky — a centuries-old inn rumored to be haunted, perfectly fitting the couple’s love for a little spooky flair.
Their engagement had also taken place earlier this year in the padded room of a haunted house in Henderson, Kentucky, so the ghostly charm of the location felt just right.
Tammy Slaton Stuns in Wedding Photos
Amy’s sister Tammy Slaton, who has undergone a remarkable transformation, was by her side throughout the celebration.
Sharing photos on Instagram, Tammy posed alongside the bride, showcasing her incredible weight loss following bariatric surgery and subsequent skin removal procedures.
Since late 2022, Tammy has shed 500 pounds, and her confident, radiant look made her stand out on the magical night.
A Bride with a Victorian Twist
For her big day, Amy dyed her hair a “special color” at Brian’s request and styled it into a Victorian-inspired updo.
Her gown featured delicate floral and vine beading, giving it a dreamy, ethereal feel.
The couple shared a touching “first look” during the processional and exchanged traditional vows in a ceremony officiated by their friend Billy, who had previously officiated Tammy’s late husband Caleb Willingham’s wedding in 2022.
Amy Opens Up About Her New Marriage
“Getting married means that I’m no longer alone because I’ve discovered my soulmate,” Amy told People.
“Brian is my happy place! He’s not just the sweetest, most caring person; he also won over my boys.
Not many men would accept a single mom with two energetic sons!” Amy shares sons Gage Deon, 4, and Glenn Allen, 3, with her ex-husband Michael Halterman.
Tammy Reflects on Her Incredible Journey
Tammy has been open about her weight-loss journey, much of which has been documented on 1000-Lb. Sisters.
Back in April, she proudly revealed she had lost 500 pounds, having gone from over 700 pounds to weighing 238.
She even compared her progress to Amy’s, who has lost 176 pounds.
“Everyone is telling me I look smaller than Amy,” Tammy admitted. “It’s hard to believe, but I can’t believe I did that.”
Overcoming Challenges and Celebrating Milestones
Earlier this year, Tammy underwent skin removal surgery, a milestone she described as “overwhelming with excitement.”
She shared with People how thrilled she was when the procedure was approved, describing the moment as one of immediate joy and disbelief.
Her journey included 14 months at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Gibsonburg, Ohio, where she lost more than 400 pounds through intensive treatment and surgery.
It was also there that she met her late husband, Caleb Willingham, nicknamed “Double K,” who appeared with her on the show as they worked to overcome chronic obesity.
Remembering Caleb Willingham
Tragically, just months after their wedding, Caleb passed away at the age of 40.
While the cause of his death was never publicly disclosed, Tammy has spoken candidly about the heartbreak of losing him.
She recalled the devastating moment a friend first warned her about his condition and then confirmed his passing just 20 minutes later.
Reflecting on their relationship in his final months, Tammy shared that they “felt like roommates” before his sudden death.
