Zahida Allen welcomes baby daughter Zyra and opens up about motherhood journey in emotional Instagram post from the UK

After years in the public eye through reality TV, Zahida Allen just stepped into her most personal role yet — being a mum.

The 31-year-old Geordie Shore star surprised fans on Friday with the joyful news that she’s welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Zyra.

Keeping Her Baby Journey Private — Until Now

Zahida shared the touching update on Instagram, revealing baby Zyra was born on May 6, weighing 7lbs.

Alongside sweet snaps of her newborn, she wrote a heartfelt message:
“Welcome to the world my baby girl, you are my everything.

You’ve given my life new meaning — love, purpose, strength.”

She reflected on keeping the first month of motherhood to herself, enjoying the newborn bubble and quietly adjusting to their new life together.

“We’ve faced so many challenges,” Zahida added, “but we overcame them. Now we’re life partners, my mini Z.”

A Surprise Pregnancy Kept Closely Guarded

Just last month, Zahida revealed she was expecting — and almost ready to give birth — in a surprise Instagram post.

Holding up a baby scan, she wrote: “Mini Z coming very soon – May 2025.”

The pink-themed announcement included photos of Zahida cradling her bump in a white bralette and pyjamas, but she didn’t mention who the baby’s father is.

In a longer caption, she explained she’d only told close friends and family until now.

No Symptoms, No Clue — A Late Discovery

In a candid reflection, Zahida explained that she discovered the pregnancy very late.

“I never thought I’d be someone who had no symptoms,” she shared. “My body didn’t change for a long time.”

At the time, she was actually being treated for other health issues — stomach and kidney concerns — only to find out there was a baby growing all along.

“This news completely changed my life, but for the better,” she wrote. “I chose to keep it private until I was ready.”

A Deeply Personal Connection to Her Late Father

One of the most emotional parts of Zahida’s post involved remembering her late father.

She shared that she’s been grieving him again during her pregnancy, feeling a powerful connection between him and her baby girl.

“My dad always dreamed of being a grandad,” she wrote.

“Some of his last words to me were, ‘I leave all my prayers and blessings to you and your baby girl.’

I truly believe this is the baby he was speaking about.”

She even revealed her cravings mirrored the meals she fed her dad during his final days — a full-circle moment that brought her both comfort and emotion.

The Joys of Pregnancy and Feeling Baby Zyra Grow

Despite the discomforts of late pregnancy — like little feet pressing against her ribs — Zahida said she loved the entire experience.

She gushed about the magical feeling of her baby’s kicks and cherished the nightly ritual of cuddling her belly.

“This journey has been fascinating and magical,” she said.

“My baby is the biggest blessing of my life.”

Empowering Other Parents and Going It Alone

Zahida offered a shout-out to fellow parents, especially those doing it solo:
“To all parents and those who are doing it alone — you are so strong.

I have SO much respect and admiration for you.”

She wrapped her post with a moving note to her daughter, saying:
“I feel so lucky to carry you every day… You’ve brought so much happiness into my life and you’re not even here yet. I love you unconditionally.”

Friends and Fans Flood Her With Love

After sharing the news, Zahida’s comments section was flooded with congratulatory messages from fellow reality stars and friends.

  • Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson wrote: “Congratulations beauty.”

  • Love Island’s Georgia Harrison added: “Omg congratulations baby girl xxxx.”

  • Nathan Henry chimed in: “So excited for you and this journey.”

  • Charlotte Dawson also shared: “So excited gorgeous girl, congrats.”

A Familiar Face on Reality Screens

Zahida first rose to fame on seasons 3 and 4 of Geordie Shore OGs and rejoined the cast for The Reunion Series.

She also appeared on Ex on the Beach in 2017, where she dated Sean Pratt.

Now, though, she’s focused on her new chapter — far away from the party pads and drama of reality TV, and deep in the heart of motherhood.
